My ‘03 Protege5 glovebox opens when I pull the handle, but I also need to pull the handle as I close it and release it when it’s shut; maybe the same issue here.
This dude is full of it. I had to completely rip the glovebox out. What these types of dudes do is have these things that weren’t broken and pretend to fix it. Don’t listen to unabled “fixit” pretenders like this guy to tell you something that isn’t right.
Sounds like you’re frustrated, I was too and borderline broke mine open. I wouldn’t go through the effort of faking the fix on something. The way I make my videos is, when something breaks, I fix it and film it since I’m doing it anyway. If it can help someone, I’d be happy to put it out there.
