How To Fix Microwave Doesn't Heat, Microwave Works But No Heat, Easy Fix
#how #howto #fix #microwave #easyfix
this Microwave has no heat it doesn't heat water or food at all
the Microwave brand is LG Old Transformer style Microwave
the cause is the high voltage diode was burned that's why Microwave had no heat
to replace it you can find the same part number and order it from either Amazon or eBay or other electronics suppliers
hope this video is helpful please subscribe 🙏 like 👍 and share 🙏 👍
Best regards ✨️
Microwave not heating
1-Diode
The diode converts the A/C power output of the transformer to D/C, doubling the voltage to nearly 5,000 volts. This high voltage powers the magnetron to heat the food. If the diode burns out, the magnetron won’t receive enough voltage to operate, preventing the microwave from heating. When the diode fails, it is often visibly burned out. Inspect the diode and if the diode is burned out, replace it. If inspecting the diode proves inconclusive, test it with a multimeter that uses a 9-volt battery or put a 9-volt battery in series with the diode. When the leads are reversed, the diode should only have continuity in one direction.
2-Door Switch
Most microwaves have three or four door switches. When the microwave door closes, the door switches actuate in sequence to ensure that the door is closed properly. If any of the door switches fails, the microwave will not start or heat. To determine if any of the door switches are defective, use a multimeter to test each of the switches for continuity. If any of the door switches does not have continuity,
3-Magnetron
The magnetron uses high voltage, high current DC power to generate the microwave frequency that cooks the food. If the magnetron burns out, the microwave won’t heat. The magnetron is not repairable-if the magnetron is burned out, you must replace it.
4-High Voltage Capacitor
The high voltage capacitor works with the high voltage diode to convert the output of the transformer to DC voltage and to double the output voltage. If the capacitor is burned out, the entire high voltage circuit will stop working properly, and the microwave won’t heat.
5-High Voltage Transformer
Microwave ovens produce a very high voltage in order to power the magnetron antenna, which emits the energy that cooks the food. When a high voltage transformer fails, it will usually arc and have a burning smell. (Warning: The microwave oven can store a lethal amount of electricity in its high voltage capacitor,
6-Thermal Fuse
The thermal fuse cuts off power to the microwave if the microwave overheats. To determine if the thermal fuse has blown, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse doesn’t have continuity, replace it
7-Thermoprotector
The thermoprotector cuts off power to the microwave if it overheats. If the thermoprotector trips, the microwave won’t start or heat. To determine if the thermoprotector at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the thermoprotector does not have continuity, replace it.
8-Main Control Board
The main control board might be defective. However, this is rarely the case. Control boards are often misdiagnosed-before replacing the control board, check all of the more commonly defective parts. If you have determined that all of the other components are working properly,

I am extremely concerned about your method of discharging the capacitor. It would be best if you shorted out the LEFT (set of two connectors) to the RIGHT (set of two connectors). Shorting out one connector (inside the black circular collar) to the one next to it inside the SAME black circular collar is useless. There are a total of four connectors to that capacitor, two inside one black circular collar and two DIFFERENT connectors inside the OTHER black circular collar. But, you are right: it's very dangerous. If there is any voltage remaining in that capacitor and you make a connection to it directly or indirectly through you, you could end up getting killed.

Microwave ovens contain high voltage circuits and components operating at 4,000-5,000 volts (depending on the model). The risk associated with high voltages is exponentially greater than household voltages; electrocution by high voltage will almost certainly lead to death or permanent injury.

No need for batteries to check a diode, with digital meter anode and cathode measurement or flipping positive and negative leads can tell you an open or shorted diode.

First you're not releasing voltage. You are releasing charge of a HV calacitor. And you were wrong in its way. You needed to contact the two pins of the capacitor with the plyer at the same time so it could make a closed loop.
