Dude. I had this exact problem happen to my wife this morning. I went to the car expecting it needed a jump. Even with cables on from my car, nothing. I figured to was either a main fuse or poor electrical connection, but where. I turned to RU-vid for a second quick step and saw your video. The emergency kit had a wire brush so I popped the cable off and reattached it and bam! You saved us a tow and a bill for something so simple. Same issue. The battery fuse block connector fuse(120A) was blown out. Replaced the battery fuse block connector for $30.00 and the car now starts. See how to install the part on youtube.
Hell Yeah!!! I always notice that fuse block on my positive terminal and it’s always corrosion city!! 2 days ago I was cleaning my engine a little in the garage and when I went to pull the car out I got NADA!!! Just like you said totally dead! I put a multi meter on my battery and it had 12.48V so I knew that wasn’t the issue. Here we are 2 days later and I’ve been researching like crazy but most videos end up being way off base until I saw yours!! It was like I was listening to myself explain the issue to a friend I was telling about it and about 4-5 months ago this was happening so often and my old battery was always SO Corroded and was holding a charge anymore so I bought a new battery cleaned up all the old loose corrosion and installed the new battery and it’s been running like a champ for 5 months. One question for you,.. if I clean all the corrosion of that fuse block that’s built up over the last 4-5 months and it still is dead then if I go buy a new one how hard is it to install? Thanks man! I feel like you’ve given me some hope. I’ve been pretty lucky with my 2010 Nissan Maxima SV, I bought it in 2012 and it was in Mint condition and the original owner had every single add on and upgrade possible done and except for the occasional battery issues a while back it’s always run like a champ!! Another thing to do if it has issues with starting, replace the key. The chip inside gets damaged if you drop it too often. If the plastic key breaks, that's a sure sign of damage. A locksmith through AAAnshould charge $120 for one key or $180 for two. If you've tried the fusible links, the ground wire, and the filter/pump and it still isn't starting GET A NEW KEY
Did that 8 months ago. Went in for a $180-200 keyfob fix or replacement, left with a paralyzed broken car. They erased the factory program and could not upload it again, then changed the whole motherboard, broke the gear box, got the automatic car into manual (how on earth?!?), damaged the rearview window, and kept my only car in the shop for 1 month. The total cost was almost $2,000. This was a highly reputable shop. 👉 My advice, if you want to fix the keyfob, take it to the dealer.
It shows battery has power, all dash lights come on when trying to start, but suddenly, it only clicked once when I turned it to turn on, what could this be? is it the starter solenoid? I tried jumping and got nothing, horn blows, lights radio all works.

So I replaced mine but as soon as I tried to start it the starter dragged and the fuse on the connector blew again what could be shorting out the fuse ?
I’m getting electricity just won’t start. Had to find a ride home. There is another video where it can be the brake switch , follow the brake peddle up and there’s a little switch, on the left side the top can get loose, sometimes pushing it down will start the car other times you have to replace the brake switch. This is a Nissan 2008…

Thanks Peter, lots of info here. My sons car has this exact problem. But please don't take this wrong, next time do the steps you are talking about. Take us through what you are saying. What fuse? Which fuse? Where? Not everyone is a mechanic. And maybe people need a step by step instructions. I know what you were saying but a lot of people with these cars are not mechanically savvy.
My Nissan Hardbody is displaying nothing on the dashboard and no sparks no power at all but the battery is new and the car was fine but after changing fan clutch then it didn't want to switch on or spark even the connecting cables to the battery cannot supply power

What he took almost 9 minutes to say is so dangerous that you don't to do, but hte proper thing for his specific problem is to replace the proper fuse link thats actually included within the positive battery terminal.

Man, can you tell lease concentrate and talk flawlessly? And you didn’t show a method of where exactly is the fuse and how to get rid of the corrosion.
For crying out loud, just spit it out from the beginning, you just kept repeating yourself basically from the beginning. Smoke another one or gulp down another shot, most of the time you was't sure what the problem really was. No doubt this video was a waste of time.
