As of Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.10.22, Mojang has removed the PDB files that Minecraft Bedrock mod creators require in order to work on mods and create them in the first place. Despite being undocumented, Mojang developers are on record stating this as intentional. Mods on console are no longer a possibility unless Mojang has a change of heart.

You have to uninstall Microsoft store and don't update it until you download the old minecraft, i tried it and it work for me

So I was able to download the “special” Minecraft only now it show a little triangle warning sign at the bottom corner and when I try to open it asks me to update and automatically updates the game pass Minecraft, even if it’s not installed then it proceeds to install it.

Microsoft have removed the old version from the store. U have to do a factory reset on ur console but keep games and apps, then once it’s set up don’t let the Xbox store update. Then u can download the special minecraft but try to get all ur mods downloaded quickly in case the store updates cus the reset will delete all ur mod files.

For me the special non gamepass version of minecraft just says "installing view in queue" but when I go to the queue nothing is installing and I can't cancel the install from the Microsoft Store or from the queue so I don't know what to do

Installing this version of Minecraft causes the Microsoft Store to demand a '0 KB update' which is actually a front for it to begin installing the standard version all over again.

Unfortunately, any fix that could or would exist will likely be prevented by Mojang itself. Minecraft may very well be trying to eliminate mods entirely. All that's left is to either do what Mojang wants and spend your money on marketplace addons (which are not mods and nowhere near as capable) or get yourself a good PC and hope they do not come for Java as well.

We should not touch the game until they add the shaders, that's what I've been doing for months now. I used to love the game but I just hate that they've delayed shaders/better graphics for 6 years now on console. I'm on my last strings with this game and if they continue to put out dumb add-ons and updates I will just completely give up on the game until I can get a pc, which will likely be far from now considering how expensive a pc is

I discovered a way to install it. Uninstall minecraft(s). Open microsoft store. Press home button (where the sidebar pulls up over you game and apps). Go down and hover the microsoft store app (not the one at the very bottom). Press the three lines button while over microsoft store. Press app card. Press manage. Uncheck microsoft store and then save changes. Then hold the power button to your xbox for how ever long it takes to do a shutdown. Then power on after a bit. Open microsoft store (if it doesn't open redo the power off step). If microsoft store asks for an update press update then quickly go to the minecraft. If you worry the store will be gone forever it will not it will always be on your console it just takes a shutdown or two to get it to open. Edit: I listed it wrong the first time this time it should be correct.

This is actually quite funny cuz this is not the meth that I use I'll actually usually go to plastic texture pack and then download game pass Minecraft after game pass Minecraft's done then it will allow me to download the regular Minecraft and once after that I just do the process of getting rid of the game pass Minecraft and then updating the regular Minecraft so maybe this method could work for others not 100% sure though

Well there is a problem. Once I try to do that, there is a green button that it allows me to install it and once I do, It just won't let me download it, It quickly stops as it was downloading. I don't know what is wrong with it. I try doing it again and it won't work. I try to reset my Xbox, head back to the Microsoft Store and do the same thing but still won't work. Now I can't get the mods back. Did the Xbox fix that issue or something?

@@ethan0587 idk if this helps but what i did is instead of going to spongebob i did what he said and when youre looking at the addons you go to the first one that shows up, that was camp enderwood for me and once i did that instead the update installed minecraft but it was all in one app and worked perfectly after that

Yes, but you have to make sure when you are making the world that in the multiplayer settings it makes everybody download the packs connected to the world, this makes it so when they join it allows them to see the resources, the behavior packs automatically work with multiplayer.

Unfortunately, Microsoft updated the shop, making it impossible to download the Spongebob version of Minecraft. Youll know that your Microsoft Store is updated because the special Minecraft "Install" button will be green. This is not good. We have found a fix! What you have to do is factory reset your Xbox but keep all game and app data when you do this, it will take your Microsoft Shop back to an older version. This video explains what to do at 4:10 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ss5Zy-XkqP8.html Note: when you factory reset your console, you will have to sign back into all of your Microsoft accounts on that Xbox. All of your progress in games will be saved; there is no need to worry about losing data. Also, after resetting you will have to redo all the steps to importing add-ons. Youll have to reinstall Expansion for Explorers and add in the Microsoft.Minecraft folders. Also, all of the add-ons that you have already installed will be removed from the folders. It is annoying, but it is the only fix that we know of currently.

So it says not available for me then I download the game pass and it lets me get it like u said, I start installing it and I delete the game pass version, do the 0.00kb update n then when I go on it’s still 1.20.

I found a work around. That doesn’t require the store even. Although… it could be patched too…. So I can’t say it to anymore people… this needs to stay hidden as long as possible.

Youll know that your Microsoft Store is updated because the special Minecraft "Install" button will be green. This is not good. We have found a fix! What you have to do is factory reset your Xbox but keep all game and app data when you do this, it will take your Microsoft Shop back to an older version. Youll have to reinstall Expansion for Explorers and add in the Microsoft.Minecraft folders. Also, all of the add-ons that you have already installed will be removed from the folders. It is annoying, but it is the only fix that we know of currently.

This is just stupid because if you can't instal the special version normally when you eventually get it installed it will always say that you need to be online to start it up except if yoy have the gamepass version of the game still installed but even if you manage to get into the special version it wil kick you out after turning on the internet again and i don't blame you for this ofc i think the community should not even make a video like this in the first place, glitches like this need to be patched immediately but because we have money hungry devs they make your world corrupted on purpose so that you will be forced to buy a realm because realms can't get corrupted. Im just switching over to java
