How to fix Photoshop "Could not complete your request because of a program error" problem 

I got error messages "could not complete the image size command because of a program error" and it worked for me. Thank You !

Great video for those that it helped. Unfortunately, this solution did NOT work for me. Perhaps b/c I am using Photoshop CS6, but I am getting the exact same error. My solution, for anyone out there who did not find this video helpful, was to turn off any special FX layers in your Photoshop document. It could be as simple as a clipping mask or a level on multiply. Recently I discovered it is either one or two layers that are causing the problem. You do not have to delete the fx layer. Simply turn them off and click save. No lost work, and saves a lot of heartache. Why this happens is unknown to me. I’ve worked in new and old versions of photoshop before and this is the first in 16 years I have experienced this issue. Good luck my peeps, I hope this helps someone too! ✌️

Thanks for the video, although it didn't helped me at all. I got this message while trying to use Puppet Warp. It seems this bug may be caused by several different functions of the Photoshop and your method is for your case alone. The best way to solve any bug is just doing a fresh installation of the program. Any Photoshop version is like a mine field, you never know when its going to explode, but its sure it will.

seriously, i don't understand why are there more dislikes then likes for this video, this method is the only method that helped me solved this error. I've scrolled through adobe.com and some other youtube videos and it doesn't work. thankyou very much, this really helped me!

I've got this error message when I try to open a picture. It isn't solved with this trick unfortunately.

When I go to edit/preferences, I do not see an option "type". This is Adobe Photoshop 7.
