How to fix Pre-Lit Christmas tree bulbs ( & BULB REPAIR!) +++ Re-String a tree!

I thought you were fixing the problem not cutting off all the lights and putting new string lights on.

We change the fuse to the spare one and our pre-lit tree turns but the lights don't turn on so we will go ahead and buy the Light Keeper Pro to see if that fixes our problem. Thank you so much for this informative video!

When an incandescent bulb burns out, a shunt at the bottom of the bulb is supposed to melt which allows the circuit to continue. Otherwise, it opens the circuit and won’t allow downstream lights to receive power. Sometimes the shunt won’t melt properly. A tool called the lightkeeper pro can fix this issue by melting the shunts properly…and it’s very easy to use.

They sell the light keeper pro I bought it and it saved me so much time you should try it

I know this is a old video brotha but you can pre wrap it over for example my top section of my tree I had a short I just gave up after checking voltage and everything but you can use zip ties and make due that way you can take it off by sections

Awesome video. I really like your troubleshooting logic... that makes sense to me. 🤓 I installed just the bottom section of a 4 section prelit LED tree from Wayfair 4 yrs ago (the lights have not been working since the 1st or 2nd yr). I replaced all the fuses but after watching your video I realized I didn't actually need to because none of them were blown. I definitely have power going from the outlet to extension cord (3 plugs on 1 end) connecting to the first and second sets of lights. They will not turn on. I checked probably 50% of the lights just looking for missing ones but to get a bulb out, you have to pull a locking piece a plastic to remove it so it's highly unlikely they would have fallen out since they are not easy to remove. I'm still stumped but if I don't get it fixed, we will just add lights onto it like the past couple of years. I don't have the patience to remove all the old ones. LOL. That white bulbs is the circuit bulb I learned from another video. And apparently that’s the bulb that needs to be changed!???

I changed all the blubs and checked the fuses and still doesn't work
