Hi guys I am going to show you how to fix PS Vita 1000 faulty joystick replacement in less than 30 mins
I am trying to fix it , however it isnt as easy as it may seems.First I was trying to find out what why the joystick isnt working properly as there was no obvious fault. Then I have dismantled it and still nothing. Then I have ordered replacement stick for ps vita 2000 and I have tried to install it there but it didnt fit. I have tried to used some parts of the joystick and fix the faulty one but it didnt work out either.

Does psvita 1000 and 2000 have the same joystick??? Cause I bought some joystick online that says it's for psvita2000.. Cause i'm gonna replace my psvita1000's analog

No mate it is different connector that s what I was trying to accomplish in the video :-D to use cheap 2000 replacement and fix my 1000 joystick :-D but not much luck as there was that plastic part broken...but depends what is wrong with yours

my right joystick feels weak but its not wobbly i dont know what to do i mean i can play fine and its very responsible ( i both it like this ) i cant find 1000 model joystick for sale so i may leave it like this

The older it its the more.it is.used and the woblier it becomes so i think yea leave it like that unless u can find some replacement joysticks👍

I have replaced the left thumbstick and the left side pcb on my vita 1000. And its still drifting . Most games work fine except mine craft which needs the leftbthumb . My character is just constantly spinning round

It is hit or miss unfortunately I know, even the spare parts u buy to replace it with. It js possible to use it without it though...for many games as u say.

did you order the 1000 part? i cant find in any popular sites like amazon ebay etc. and discovered that the 2000 part doesnt fit bc tha flat cable is different. my right joystick just move up down, i already inverted them so make sure its the joystick, and it is, the left one worked well in right side, and faulty one just up down in left side. i disassembled them just like you did, both of them, and look the same, all springs, mechanism ok. i think its the cable, but i didnt try inverting the cable bc i can damage the good one. :( i need to find a replacement part, but cheap or will be better buy another used console

No i havent ordered but I ve seen some I will check it out and let yiu know. Yes the 2000 joystick has different cable so you cannot plug it in..I was trying to harvest some parts from it but as you could see I wasnt successful as i couldnt Disassemble it further and i would damage it if I would continue so I rather stopped. But I felt there is something wrong inside. Yes yiu would probably damage the cable as it is hard wired into there I guess..or you could change it as a whole but i am not sure if that is possible

I cannot find any mate like usual. On the uk ebay there are few but for 100£+ so it isnt definitley worth it. And all the rest i found the items are no longer available It is better for you to buy broken ps vita for 20-30 and take parts out of it 👍 that s what I did 😀

@@ZealousChuck thanks man, i appreciate your help. your video was very useful so i could disassembly all the analogic and i found the problem is the magnet sensor or flat cable of left right axis, nothing i can do, only solution is replacement. i have no idea how it broke but i bought it was already broken. i got this used vita fat for r$350 (50£), the average price of used here is r$ 500 600. i found in aliexpress for r$120, i'll order, its 30% the price of my console but i have no other option... if i knew the replacement parts were so difficult to find i would have bought the slim model (2000 model). theres a broken one announcement for r$250 with black screen problem, but 250 is a lot

@@juscelino2253 you re welcome man 👍 yes it can be the cable easily. Though in mine it wasnt as I felt there was something broken..but i could not Disassemble any further 😁 just try to check some broken ps vitas i guess or wait until they restock them online. If it will ever happen

QUICK QUESTION! THE RIGHT JOY STICK IS IT SUPPOSED TO WORK WHEN YOUR NOT PLAYING A GAME? I have the typical problem of the joystick drift. But I thought I could play with a DS4 controller without any problem, but the drift issue still hapening,then I removed the right joystick from the console and the problem stills there. Do you think that I have to change the joystick? or it is something else???

Joystick drift on ps vita? If so you can still try to disable the joystick with the plugin. That will make it non functional and u can play just with your ps4 pad 👍 or buy a replacement and change it

I did that, and the controller's joystick is non funcional too, that confused me a little. I think I will have to replace the joystick, or buy another Vita. I don't find another solution.

@@luis76er37 hm interesting I havent heard such thing yet that when u disable it with plugin it disables the one on pad too. I am not really sure mate it is weird first I would try to reinstall the plugin than I would try to hard reset the vita via the recovery menu as it helped me when i had issues with buttons. And then i am.not sure if the problem persists there isnt mucu you can do

Well yes but obviously this can only help with junk problem not with hardware problem like in mine 😁 you can rub the broken part with alcohol all day long 👍
