Its Sony being greedy, I did all of this and my ps4 still boots into safe mode ,I even installed a whole new hard-drive, it was working for a day and then boom,back to safe mode

Nothing was working for mine and i looked it up to see if you can use a phone as a USB and it turns out if it's android you can. I downloaded the update file and renamed my phone FAT32 and tried it but it didn't work so i checked and figured out the problem. When you download the file it keeps it in your downloads in Google files so you have to go to the files options and click move to and then it should give you the option to add to a new folder which i did and then labeled the folder FAT32. After that i let my phone sit still connected to my ps4 for about 5 minutes and hit ok which shuts the ps4 off and since my power button doesn't work i use my remote to turn it on. I pressed and held the button until the controller turned back off and everything booted up as if nothing had happened. No data was lost.
Mine was on safe mood everytime i turn it on and i installed the reinstallation file, but after the update whenever i turn off the ps4, it goes to safe mofe again over and over, i got tired of doing it.
On the USB there should be a folder named "PS4" and inside that folder is another folder named "UPDATE" must be ALL CAPS...Then put the Update file on the UPDATE folder...Just saying just in case u or someone else don't know
Make sure your PS4 is completely turned off first, then hold down the power button on the console for around 7 seconds until you hear a second beep. Then the screen with all of the options should come up.
the one that worked for me was last option 7, but it COMPLETELY erased everything, and i have to start all over again. but i dont want too, i wanna get all my data n stuff back. can anyone please care to explain how to solve this other issue?
Do not enitialize your ps4 to the7th one it will delete all your data thats only if you want to sell it the rebuild datbase is safe the 1 through 5 are safe do not push initiative your ps4 ⚠️⚠️⚠️hope this save you bro
For those of you not getting the menu of options unfortunately If you can’t update with a pc your only optipn is to press the power button twice it’ll bring you to this menu you see on here & you’ll need to initialize your ps4:( I tried everything & that was the only thing that saved my ps4 but I lost all my data.
@hero idk if anyone else is having this issue but yk the safe mode menu? No matter what I press it says can't start ps4 and I dont have a external USB drive because I've never had this problem before. So no matter what I click it will not let me continue because I don't have a
That PS4 still has an Internet connection. You can save over Internet to another PS4 and then copy all that data to a USB drive and update it to your PS4.
You have to plug your controller into the original USB cable that came with your PS4 to get it to connect. If you don't have the original just try to use any extra USB cables you might have. If the cable you're using isn't working it's probably because it's only capable of charging the controller, you need a cable that has the ability to transfer data as well.
