Much appreciated TecHQ, this error code just happened to me this afternoon but didn't know it affected me till almost 12 hrs later. Word of warning your PS5 will still show you your software is updated even after "Something went wrong w/ the system software" error. I did ended up fixing it using ps5 recovery via option #4 Update system software. Still unsure why but this error code seems to run widespread on PS5 now. I still don't know the cause of the error but did notice that any capturing of video from my PS5 was just offering a useless black screen. Which is now fixed. I was so glad I did not experience any file corrupted or ssd issues. Also as of this writing a PS5 online friend just got this error and using my same method, he was able to re-Update his PS5.
