I have tried all the tips I found trying to fix this problem, I even reset my PS5, but it didn't work at all. I called Sony support but as my guarantee have finished 2 months ago I will have to pay €270, so they will collect my ps5, try to fix it and if it is not possible they will replace it, but for that I will have just 3 months of guarantee. This problem is not my fault and I have to pay all this amount and if I have the same problem after 3 months I will have to pay it again, that is ridiculous.

I see this video was posted a year ago iv only just got my ps5 like a month ago and it’s doing this consistently iv done all the steps iv seen online nothing is working do I need to send this console back iv paid nearly £600 for it and it’s hardly worked the hole time I’m getting pissed off iv been a loyal customer to the PlayStation brand since the ps1 and iv never been so disappointed someone please help me

I did something today and so far it’s been working for me. My game would crash about 30 min to a hour of play time. Heard to turn the resolution from auto to the highest one available. The 2nd thing was to turn one of the setting to -1 😩 so sorry I forgot the name of the setting but it’s right under the resolution settings. And last which I think was the one to fix it was turn HDR This was a fix that came from Sony btw. Hey also said to only turn the setting off till the game is up and running then turn the setting back to where you want them. Really hope this helps some ppl.

I been getting this for only one game and its NBA2k21 next gen. But its werid i can play all the other games modes in the game but i cant play MyCareer. It just cash each time with this error code.

I fixed mine by switching to a non hdmi2.1 cable and port, keeping the console horizontal and using wifi instead of Ethernet. I don’t know specifically which of these things fixed it.. but I used to get the error constantly in all games ever since around the time my lg tv did a software update (I logged well over 100 hours on Valhalla without crashes before suddenly being plagued )... I’ve tried rebuild, reinstall, putting a cooling pad under it, lower resolution / colour / transmission / no hdr etc and nothing worked till I switched hdmi and to Wi-Fi

I have LG g2, it was fine for months then all of the sudden this error on various games, I will test on my Samsung if its different. Any updates on this situation? Have you had the error again?

@@mackadams5049 it was the same for me. Months without an issue. Plagued with issues on my lg tv. Was about to sell the fucken thing but moved it to another tv with another hdmi and it worked fine … so moved it back to my lg with another cable and it continued to work fine. Years later same console is working perfectly. Never seen the error again.

I can’t even get into the game. Right after the loading screen when you start the game, right before the main menu appears, my screen goes blank and after a few moments, the same error code comes up. This has happened to me in both Creed and Cold War. Haven’t tried any other games. But basically, I have a PS5 and after day 4, have not played a single game. I’ve factory reset, downloaded the update, reinstalled games. Frustrating. Any help anyone?

@@Heksargon Yes. I contacted Playstation and told them my system wouldn’t turn on. They sent me a box and I sent it back to them. They then immediately sent an email once it arrived at their facility saying it was fixed. All they did was send me a different PS5 system with a different serial number and everything. No problems since. Have had it for about 2 and a half months

Like i though this is all bullshit, it didn't work for me, the only game that gives me the CE-108255-1 error is "Horror Adventure", i don't know why, already tried everything and many tips around the internet related to this but nothing works, i feel like i lost my time and my money for nothing, not even this new software update that came out yesterday solved this, what shame

This is not 100% working and nobody should have to do all this bs on a brand new console..Sony better fix this within a couple of weeks at the latest or I’m taking my ps5 back to bestbuy and switching to Xbox Series X

Cant get into a menu to even do that without it crashing and console restarting, I got Sony on the phone they claim software issue and didn’t give me option to send in for repair. I was lucky enough to buy another ps5 and haven’t had any issues what so ever (same setup)

Even with update 1.04 still crashes with the same error code. I did notice a few tweaks performance and graphic wise but still got more work to do

I love this game, but i have to play it with crash every two or three or four hours. I cannot understand if it is game fault or ps5 fault. I did yet a database rebuild and a console reset but nothing, same issue

@@john75470 you got a bad GPU and Sony won’t take it back unless you tell them your seeing graphical artifacts on all games and the Ui along w crashes they’ll lead you through steps keep telling them it’s crashing and they’ll have you send it in ( I got mines back in 5 Days counting when I sent it off ) trust me don’t keep it it’s a GPU issue they think it’s software because the 108255-1 is a generic game crash code but it’s really a Bad GPU

@@accmasmali Send it back to Sony. I did it and they replaced my unit with a new one. No problems since.

@@john75470 I did. I sent it back to Sony and they sent me a completely new unit with a different serial number. Not even one crash or freeze since. I'm in IL and sent to head quarters in IN. It took less than a week to get a replacement.

If you came here looking for an answer to this error on GT7, None of these are going to work. I have searched youtube, websites and forums endlessly looking for a fix. Changing settings for resolution, HDMI, Performance mode, Rebuilding database and even wiping and reinstalling the system software has not resolved the issue. I bought my PS5 new in the box from a market place seller so no receipt. No receipt and Sony won't talk to you so I have a $500 paperweight and finding a replacement is near impossible.

I got my 3rd PS5 console and after that 3rd in row console it stil happends...BUT...only on F1 2021 PS5 version (physic copy) . And on every single PS5 only when Im streaming on YT....that is mystery even to Sony.Thats why they gave me 3rd console with fresh waranty. Haha. Problem ist so often like before but every 1/6 streams it crash. So if I find final solution I will tell U. Sorry for bad Englsih. Salut from Zagreb,Croatia-Europe

It keeps happening because games crash lol Just follow a game that's new released and read up on patch notes and updates on Reddit and Steam. *fixed a crash when shooting this weapon *fixed an occasional crash if players don't do this action before another action It's crazy lol and some games have known crashes that are never fixed too. Just how it is 🤷
