And two months later and it's still a problem I just bought the game I was so excited I've been playing street fighter for 30 years now I feel like I've been robbed for $60 and appears hardly anybody is angry about it. I thought there would be a lot of information online about the problem, but it's just us errantly, and as we know, big companies never have any good customer support, so I'm not even going to try that because they're useless and they refuse to hire people

I regret buying sf6 cost me $100.00 for the ultimate edition. I wish I never bought that crap. Never played sf6 ever again!

@@teddybeargram3 After I created my Capcom ID account and linked it to my PS5 account, Street Fighter 6 wouldn't let me play online and it still won't let me play online! In my honest opinion, Street Fighter 5 should have been the final Street Fighter game. There was no need for a Street Fighter 6 in the works!

And the I.D cost over $45 per month after 5day free trial.

@@teddybeargram3 I like Street Fighter 5 a lot better than Street Fighter 6 because in Street Fighter 5, there is no need for Capcom ID and no need for annoying QR codes to scan with a smartphone. In Street Fighter 5, all you have to do is create your online fighter ID name, go online and win and lose some online matches. Easy peasy. Street Fighter 6's World Tour story mode sucks because you are basically leveling up your created fighters for absolutely nothing and you cannot play as your created fighters in offline and online matches in Street Fighter 6! If I were you, Capcom fans, I would stick with Street Fighter 2 through 5, the Street Fighter Alpha series, Street Fighter EX 1,2 and 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, etc.. The Capcom of today are not as good as the Capcom of way back when. If Capcom are going to continue forcing Capcom ID and QR codes down us Capcom fans' throats, then me, you and the rest of the Capcom community are going to quit buying Capcom's future games.

Its not ridiculous, it is simple to create a capcom ID, and link your platform(s) It is not complicated in even the slightest and only takes 2 minutes to do, depending on your internet speed. The reason why you need to do this is because SF6 is a full crossplay game with rankings, stats and loads of data saved in their servers which is shared over all platforms. Say for example you link steam and PSN, then you can play on console or PC at any time and your data is saved across both platforms. FYI the game DOES and DID have a disclaimer, it has had this since it was announced that you need to create a capcom ID to play online. Maybe you were just too ignorant to read the store page in its entirety, or disc case etc

@@Stinkyremy can you do any research other than copying and pasting? I followed the directions. Are you actually reading any of the complaints that specifically state the error messages people are getting? Are you paying attention at all or just being defensive. There are a lot of threads from people trying to resolve the issue with no help from Capcom. It’s shouldn’t allow me to link the account, say it’s verified and confirmed and then there are error messages when I try to play online, Capcom support doesn’t respond to to tickets. Capcom should have figured out another way to do it or make cross platform optional.

@@robwebmuc i have managed to get it to work. Are you using Chrome? I was and that seemed to cause the problem. I used Edge browser instead and it worked instantly.

how? on capcom's website it says I can't change my email if I've accidentally used the wrong one. So my PS4 is linked to an account that's deleted.

When you went online, what website did you go to, to unlink your PlayStation from your Capcom ID? Also, what was the step by step process for doing so?

Undelete your account on the website and unlink your PSN, or well just keep the account. Check your emails. Also you can change your in game ID at any point in game, you didnt even need to do all that, its in the settings.

Obviously, it isn't working for everyone. I did that and it said it was linked. Yet it still doesn't work because it's saying wrong account linked when confirmed yet I already got a confirmation it was. It's a mess.
