Yeah use contact cleaner from time to time and make sure the inside and the outside link it's snug

This is an example of what I was talking about with the gearing. The larger sprocket likely would have helped or maybe even stopped this completely. The problem lies in the low RPM of the motor under very high loads. Even a low output controller under low RPM situations will dump a LOT of amps. Basically even though you might be lower on the throttle, it will dump max amps out due to the very high low RPM loads. Be careful, you can also damage the windings on the motor. Might want to look at the windings, I'd be willing to bet they are pretty dark. 👍🏻🍻

Yoo currently just had the same connection melted. And was wondering since I read what you said; I had recently put 14’s super moto tires and the same stock 48T sprocket. Could that be a reason why it melted ? Mind you it’s a 2021 model & it currently has about 6.7k miles. Bike is completely stock performance wise.

There's no excuse for this bad engineering from China. If this was designed correctly and validated by testing it would never happen. It's nice that you were able to identify a Band-Aid for this problem and share it with all the folks were ripped off by China. Just another example of how buying China products results in more expense than anticipated. Most people won't be able to fix this themselves. In fact, it's not really fixed because the current capacity hasn't changed... it's just procrastinated until the next event that the bike is not babied.

Your hate against Chinese products it's getting a bit annoying, at the end of the day, I have more money in my pocket, that's all it matters, the rich men that run American companies will take your money and run with it, they always use patriotism to bolster profits, if you haven't figure that out yet you haven't lived long enough yet

@@vegasromaniac it's not necessarily just a political concern, but I despise poor engineering... that's what I observed here. Another strategy of China is to make products that are not durable. I don't like that either. These factors are not in our long-term best interest. I'm not necessarily blind to the bullshit that occurs in the US either.

That's not why your connectors melted it's not because you're pushing the bike hard.

Can you still ride with the connectors melted? I have a 72v battery and the connectors aren’t completely melted but they are stuck together

They will overheat and melt even more .. they need good contact . If you have bad contact it's bad if you have them melted together and have perfect contact than you are good till you need a new battery

Gas all day.. Electric it's just a fun novelty. I like it becayee I can ride bike trails... But can't compare to a yz250fx

@@vegasromaniac Right on. I've been riding street for years and just picked up a 2020 WR250F for myself and a few older TTR125's for the kids. Been binging on all your videos - thank you for all the great info!
