Awesome, mine finally works for the very first time! I bought it new when the 1st Gen came out and was always in the box until about a year ago. I could never get it to work, even though thanks to the other videos I did get close. I found that the 'request to pair' pop-up window vanished too quickly before I could accept it to 'Pair', today I didn't miss.

Yeah my iPad pencil pairs fine but will not work, I’ve tried everything. It recognizes it , it will show in the dock but will not write.

What if when I plug in the pencil to the gen 10 iPad and nothing pops up and it doesn’t show in Bluetooth( it hasn’t been connected before)

Thanks so much for the video! My apple pencil gen 1 wouldnt connect to my ipad gen 9, and after unscrewing the tip and screwing it back in it worked immediately!

Hi, question: I have been using my Apple Pencil and one day it just stopped working, this has happened before and i usually just do forget device then repair it with my adapter, but this time I pressed forget device and tried to pair it again nothing happened. I watched other videos saying replace the tip or heat the pencil up, it’s not working and I really can’t afford a new one, can you give me advice?😢

Hello. I have a problem with my Apple Pencil 1 generation and iPad 6 generation 2018, last update of IOS, 17.4.1 . They are paired and connected, but pencil doesn’t work. I tried different ways, such as restarting the iPad, reconnecting and removing the pencil’s head … . But still nothing. please help me to solve the issue. best regards.

my 1st gen apple pencil is having difficulty with the pressure sensitivity, it just wont work and the setting for it wont show up on my ipad 6th gen, i got a new apple pencil for my ipad 6th gen after the last one broke, any way to fix this?

My tip is literally not broken, and I have to press very aggressively to work…and it’s fully screwed on.. It’s fully charged, I’ve been trying everything, and I replaced both tips. Still doesn’t work.

Unfortunately this is not helpful for my apple pencil 2. It shows it attempting to pair but then its not even a selection under bluetooth settings. I tried factory resetting my ipad, resetting all settings etc and nothing I do gets the apple pencil 2 to pair to my ipad air 4. it used to pair easily. i cant find a solution for my specific problem.

Try warming it up safely. Place a warm bottle or bag of water on it for a few minutes

My wife has an issue with her Apple 12.9" iPad 5th Generation + 5G...she uses a standard stylus PERFECTLY from beginning to end, no problem. She uses the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation and the enlarging of the screen FREEZES! She cannot enlarge her screen (and she colors pictures on Google Paint by Number constantly!) but she cannot enlarge her picture with the Apple pencil. She HAS to be able to enlarge her screen to do this. Question: Why does enlarging the screen lock when using the Apple pencil? Thank you and bless you!

hmm that does seem odd, i would try to delete the apple pencil from that ipad in the bluetooth settings (Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on. . Then tap Forget this Device). And then reconnect it by charging it on the side. I'm guessing there's something that needs updated as well but not sure since i haven't had that happen.

The fact that the pencil is only compatible with certain gen iPads is hilarious. With Samsung you can use virtually any S pen with any S pen Samsung device.
