Elmers glue ultra clear version. Get a sauce brush and wipe a thin layer on the application side where the dots are. Then put 1 layer of tint. Works the same and is cheaper
This works great for the fine dots around the edge of the glass, also for rear window demisters 000 wire wool seems to help the tint adhere with no trapped air
It's a cool idea to cover the dots but I don't like that it's not transparent. Is there any negative to just tinting over the dots? Why do people not like it?
What about removing some of the dot matrix, I have a large dot matrix behind my rearview mirror, but I'm now using a mirror dash cam, and the dot matrix blocks the front facing camera. I would like to remove an inch or two. Your thoughts?
Naah, most vinyls will do the same as tint, dotrix fills the gaps around the dots, I've pulled some off & you can feel the dot matrix pattern pressed into it.
@@KiNgJordyy install the film then drop the top of the film and let the water dry out then squeegee it up dry. Slow, even passes, one stroke and the film will stick with no silvering around the ceramic matrix
I used 600 grain for wet sanding . Dont trix is the millenial lazy way . Its so ugly ftom the inside . My wet matrix looks 5x better than that bull shit . I do tint trix not dot trix
I hate dot trix . It so ugly . Its the millenial tinters way . Old school installers like myself wet sand matrix . I use 600 grain sand paper and I guarantee my wet sand looks way better than your dot trix . Dot trix is for kids . I use real tint trix
I can’t find any “old school” (or anyone) installers that wanna resolve the dot matrix… 99% of people are incompetent as fuck, I even offered to pay extra - a significant amount extra, no one cares
