Error E20 in Electrolux washing machines is tied to faults in the washer’s drain system. The error may happen due to a miscommunication on the circuit board to its drainage system or minor errors in the drainage setup. At times, the error code may be substituted by codes E21 or C2.
The following are some of the common causes of the E20 error
A blocked drain hose
Blockages on the drain hose will partially or completely limit water flow in the drainage conduit, causing error E20. Clogs or squashing of the drain hose by external weights may cause these blockages. Either way, the over-work on the drain pump will be detected as error E20.
A kinked drain hose
Similar to clogs and squashing, kinking of the drain hose will limit flow in the drain conduit, straining the drain pump. This strain gets detected by the appliance and presented as error E20.
Poor drainage hose installation
Poor hose installation is a common cause of error E20 in Electrolux washing machines. This ranges from incorrect standpipe height to poor hose connection blockage. ⦁ Untwist it where there are kinks to remove them.

Correct hose installation

⦁ Ensure the maximum height of the standpipe is 1 meter.
