This is hilarious: I was like "that dude didn't fix shit." Then, I took my sink apart, not a single piece cartridge, but similar enough. I couldn't find any damaged components, so I just cleaned everything, put it back together, and voila, I fixed it! So, thanks for the video, it totally helped me out.
TopSaw, You're the best. The hardest part was turning off the water under the sink. We don't normally do it that often. Just a note, that brass threaded ring that holds the cartridge in place was plastid in my faucet. Thanks again for a great video!!!! Dave
I was thinking the same thing- what’s the fix? The key for me, shown here, was taking the “decorative piece” off of that brass fitting on tightening the brass fitting down before putting the decorative piece back on- then it worked! The first time I tried this the brass and decorative piece came off together and I didn’t realize they were separate pieces. So ultimately this simple little video helped out! 🍻
Super helpful and easy instructions to follow. Thank you. (Would have been even easier if I had remember to turn the water off, before I started. oops!)
The chrome piece is not coming loose. Cannot replace cartridge. Tried wd40 etc there is a lot of crud and it seems the chrome dome is fused. Any suggestion welcome?
Perhaps you can dry it off really well and then use one of the rubber grip pads like one uses to loosen stuck jar lids? I use those thin rubber pads for all kinds of things!
Hello! I’ve been trying to find a cartridge like that everywhere but I can’t. The number written on mine is 1211085. Do you know where I can find a replacement?
