@@dragon_ninja_2186literally, just have miles or another spider person and drop a throwaway line about Peter spider man either vanishing or being dead, would’ve worked wonders for them to get it better
Sony legit just using Ben would actually be pretty cool….just so that if the two continuities ever merged, we wouldn’t have to pick between a spider man (they would def keep Tom Holland)
Carnage's death in the comics was the catalyst for Knull coming. Plus they briefly referenced Knull in both Venom movies when Venom was talking about how there's billions more. So I wouldn't worry about Carnage being dead for too long, since most likely the cult of Carnage will resurrect him and that would set Carnage up to awake Knull just like in the comics
Sony wanted to add Andrew Garfield to this universe but it was ultimately cut because they forgot that this takes place in a time period where Spider-Man doesn’t exist yet. Typically Sony move.
Pretty easy to fix, they just need to edit 'Madame Web' to look like a 90s movie, which isn't much different from 2000s. The problem is that Andrew probably declined any Sony offers because he knows they don't know what they're doing.
I think with Kraven being rated R they should take advantage of that, make a Lizard body horror movie or a Superior Foes movie in the boys/suicide squad style.
or instead of Lizard (already been used) how about Man-Wolf (John Jameson) plenty of body horror and transformation there, plus he could tear people to ribbins with his claws and fangs, but also showcase his struggle to control his beastial side to become Star God (an armored werewolf knight) (comics are wild) ....plus John Jameson had an appeance in Venom as an employee of the life corporation, so hes already apart of the Sonyspiderverse. heck you could argue, that the Symbiotes and the Stargod/Man-wolf are long time enemies....and he has a rivalry with Morbius for using him in the comics......Symbiotes, Vampires, Werewolves....why not bring in the Man-spider as well.....People love superhero vs monsters (or atleast I do)
I personally hate that the way they killed Cletus was terrible. Like they spilt the symbiote apart from Cletus when they were literally the same person/thing. So it makes no sense to split the 2 apart and yet somehow, someway Cletus is still alive but still dies. It makes no sense for what they are doing.
If you think about it though that’s the same spell that fixed the one that sent others to that universe so it shouldn’t that cancel out? ( as in he wouldn’t be transported to another universe) I feel like the spiderverse version makes sense when it’s paired up with this, an anamoly mixed with the spell working on him right before he slips into another universe
@@luvedrage3578 well the director said the spell was open for interpretation for whoever makes the next Spider-Man movies. I imagine the real reason Vulture got sent away lore wise is because something about his presence in that universe could spark someone to remember who Spider-Man is, so that’s why he was sent away. I doubt we’ll ever get a straight answer though. Plus people don’t need to be taking things as face value so much. Where’s the fun in being force fed every answer?
@@allsome1o1 yea I mean it’s Multiversal so really they can just explain it as simple as “well the spell was unstable for a reason and some people got in the cross fire” and while it’s not “good” writing, it would still make sense because not even a supreme sorcerer like dr strange knows the extent of the spells. How would a simple spell of forgetting overwrite an unstable multiversal spell type of thing. I personally don’t mind just “overlooking” it but Sony really should’ve had a clear cut plan about it instead of making it seem so forced.
Speaking of Madame Web, what’s even more frustrating is that Sony won’t use Spider-Man and yet they’re introducing three Spider-Women! Like the solution to a major problem for their universe is staring them right in their faces! Make either Carpenter, Franklin, or Corazon their main Spider-Woman/Girl or heck use all three! That make this cinematic universe so unique and different from the MCU Spider-Man!
I have a headcannon for the vulture end credit scene. Vulture is sent to morbius's universe because of spiderverse. The reason he immediately blames spiderman could be he escaped another spiderman. I haven't figured that part out. The hatred for spiderman could be explained though. Nobody remembers who peter is, so vultures attachment to him is gone and all he remembers is that spiderman beat him and put him in prison.
Him forgetting about Peter means he doesn't remember taking his daughter to prom or his fight with Peter that lead to his prison. Maybe he remembers it all as Spider-Man behind everything, which might explain why he'd be so obsessed with Spidey for him to believe he's to blame for the multiverse cracks. It's still unnecessary, it would be more interesting for him to stay in the MCU as he talks to Mac Gargan about how he wants to get back at Spider-Man for ruining his life and his family.
@Jetblast01 I mean it's not that difficult. Just make an action martial arts movie (kinda Atomic Blonde) with some appeal for younger audiences and Boom: there you have a movie with an already beloved character
@@charlespuruncajas9663 We know it's easy, but you have to keep in mind the people actually working in the industry...it's nearly impossible for them to not start screeching something about hating on men for 5 minutes.
There is a simple solution to fix morbius. Make morbius the villain and milo the good guy. Morbius and milo are both sick but make milo be at peace with what time he has while Morbius obsessed to find a way to cure them. Then the rest is a simple but good mad scientist turned into monster
Don’t disagree completely but understand that’s how venom is in the comics he’s a goofy guy who causes destruction I mean sure there could have been a few more action scenes but it’s still comic accurate when it comes to venom as a alien so I’m not upset
Pretty sure the vulture being sent to another universe was because of Spider-Verse, NOT No Way Home. (If you remember the intro, Miguel explains to Gwen how the collider left holes in the multiverse so villains were being transported to random other universes.) It was meant to confuse us, which in hindsight, probably wasn’t the best idea
Technically you'd need to have Peter Parker as Spider-man if you want Ben Reilly or Kane in the Sonyverse since you know both Ben Reilly and Kane or clones of Peter. Also if Sony were to do a new Peter Parker Spider-man for the Sonyverse they would have to make his suit look different from the MCU suits and since the MCU Spider-man suits are heavy inspired by Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr's artwork I'd say Sony should have there Spider-man suit to be based on a mix of John Romita Jr., Todd Mcfarlane and Mark Bagley's artwork from the late 80s to the early 2000s... but hay that's just my two cents
@@spidermania I think Vulture was still in character in Morbius. He did mention about doing some good I’m pretty sure that was still in character of Vulture
This may be a hot take, but I don't want Spider-Man in the Venom movies. I think the series is doing pretty well without him, and making this version a Spidey villain would be out of character.
@@QuickThekidd I take it you haven't read the comics. Venom hasn't been a Spidey Villain in decades. In fact not only does Venom have their own book, (which has outsold Peter's a few times) Eddie has spent most of his life as a character as a good guy.
@@QuickThekidd I'm talking about the movie's version, and even then Venom as a character has a rich history beyond his role as a Spider-Man villain, with his own cast and stories to adapt. He's the only Spider-Man villain who can carry a spinoff franchise without the webhead
This is how I could have made the Sonyverse: - Venom 1 is good as it is, however I'd introduced potential for a She Venom solo movie (kinda at the end Anne Weying gets the symbiote instead of Eddie). - She Venom movie: Anne Weying has to learn how to use the symbiote. You could have Scream (from the Lethal Protector comic) as the main villain. Also Michelle Williams was underused. Easter Eggs for Carnage. - Morbius: Rather than making a sympathetic character, lets make this a horror movie. After Morbius gets the powers, he begins stalking criminals. Remember Upgrade? Basically that, at the end he accepts his vampire persona. Still Carnage easter eggs at the end. - A Black Cat movie: a heist story, some elements of a spy thriller (kinda Atomic Blonde) and make her fight mafia guys like HammerHead. - Maximum Carnage: movie is basically a crossover since Venom, She Venom, Black Cat, Morbius joing forces for the first time to stop Carnage.
I think what you do is organize it, make it its own thing. Give it its own spider-man, build out a actual universe with its own characters. Give them their own type of Avenger movies, which should be a spider-verse movie. They should have some characters be used for a spider-man vs. sinister 6 movie during the multiverse movie.
I like the idea of Morlun, they could a venom-verse as they’re big team-up movie, I’m thinking something like the recent Death of Venomverse but with Morlun instead of carnage
Personally for me I would love a mayday Parker spider girl the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane to get a movie because that would be really awesome and badass in my opinion.
If they wanted it, they could have it be a continuation of the Rami verse. Spider-Man 3 came out in 2007, so a high school age Spider-Girl could totally exist in that universe, Tobey has already shown that he works well as a mentor type Spider-Man, and another Rami Spider-Man movie would definitely sell.
You can have Spider-Man but he better NOT FIGHT VENOM! Especially since the Venom movies are one of the few faithful adaptions we have and Venom being the original (anti)hero of this verse. (though to the goofy 90s mini series after mini series era) I'm so sick and tired of Venom being done unfaithfully and forced into just being a villain when they have been good guys for far longer. Heck while I'm at it Morbius shouldn't be fighting Venom or Spidey either since they're allies.
Wait. In what way are the Venom movies a faithful adaptation? His origin isn’t faithful, Hardy is okay, but doesn’t look like Eddie, his reason for going from a villain to a “hero” isn’t faithful, Venom’s powers aren’t 100% faithful (no symbiote webs, just tendrils), the suit isn’t faithful (no logo). The Symbiotes actual name in this series is Venom, which is unfaithful to the comics. Venom’s personality is okay in parts, but way too goofy in others, the comics balance it pretty well, etc, etc, etc.
@@jamburna I take it you are unfamiliar with the comics the movies are adapting from which is far more goofy then more current day stuff, especially when under the pen of Larry Hama. (If this was still the 90s I would bet you money we would get a reference to the ballad of Rad Eddie in Venom 3) This would would be Venom's original "run" of mini series after mini series. (As the staff despised the fact Venom outgrew his villain role and refused to allow them a proper comic run) Carlton Drake was chosen as the host for Riot for a reference to the The Arachnis Project, which served as his end till he was brought back by Meridus in the most recent run. Spider-Man couldn't be used due to Marvel and the source material already had Venom as a anti-hero. (They only look more heroic because movie heroes always kill) As for your other points, many were taken from other sources, something Spider-Man normally gets a pass for. It's origin is a reference to the 90s cartoon, comics since around at least the Flash era have referred to the symbiote as Venom, (its a annoyance that did not start with the movie, just like with Gargan actually eating people instead of substituting chocolate) it's look and power set is taken from the Ultimate version. As for Tom he looks and acts far more like Eddie then Topher's version ever did. For a more in depth look you can check GodzillaMendoza's videoes on Venom 2 and Miles. (the latter for Peter taking stuff from in the MCU)
Sony is introducing Spider-man but, it’s in the weirdest way possible. Venom 3 will involve Venom protecting a young Peter Parker from Toxin (Like Terminator 2). So they could maybe do something similar to the new Ultimate Spider-man.
Well I'd prefer if they combined Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man with the Venom Films and not have a different variant of Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in that universe but definitely want his regular version that we all know and love from the TASM films to fight Venom and tbh adding Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man to in Venom 3 is the only thing that'll save that Film and it would make sense cuz he never fought an Alien yet like he said in NWH so this would be his chance✅
i find it hilrarious as well that vulture comes from a universe with thanos, dr strange, the TVA etc and he blames SPIDERMAN???? in a universe with literal magic he blames a kid with a bug bite??? come on lol
Its because they had a variant of the Ultimate version of Venom symbiote (aka man made) already in SM2. All to set up a truly unfaithful and horrible Venom movie that I'm glad that did not get off the ground.
The fact that Venom makes quips and shit but without rhyme or reason really just irritated me because he initially got that trait from SPIDER-MAN. Venom makes twisted versions of Spider-Mans quips because he's literally a more violent Spider-Man. Also about the Morbius thing, its implied that Spider-Man does exist in the sonyverse. If he didn't 100% exist Morbius would have been extremely confused as to what Vulture was talking about.
Here’s the thing tho volture is only like that because he doesn’t know who Spider-Man is he doesn’t know Peter Parker just the personality of Spider-Man because of the spell at the end of no way home
It would be SOOOOO good if Andrew Garfield went into the sonyverse to mentor Spider-Gwen since he lost his gwen. That would make so much sense and be SO GOOD ISWTG
I get your idea of Vulture gaslighting Morbius, but what I would do is using Morbius not as a goon, but as a tech guy. Morbius both as a movie and a character just did not work so investing the least on him is the best. So his job is basically explain how the Vulture would go back to his universe or to the Amazing Spider Man universe or whatever and than we could have a Venom vs Morbius movie or whatever. The universe doesn't have to go to a plotline, it doesn't need an Endgame, but there are so many possibilities that I thing the idea is to connect things and to make it work as a universe
While we don’t know how he got his suit, Vulture was proven to go there because of ATSV and all of the incursions or whatever that movie calls it (lime renaissance vulture)
What if the main overarching villain of this universe was a spider man that would be cool if it was like a normal spider man story from the perspective of the villains
Here’s a short answer of how to make this universe work. Adapt the Axis storyline. Here, all the villains are good guys, except for like Carnage. So if they want Spider-Man in this universe, make him the bad guy. That would totally work to make the villains like a team of Avengers or Suicide Squad. Maybe his ultimate goal is to bond with a symbiote and use its hivemind to blink into Alternate realities, and destroy them. This worked with Spider-Carnage in the 90’s Animated Series, and would work to soft reboot into a better managed universe or tie into the Spider-Verse. But personally I’d rather they not water down the greatness that is the Spider-Verse movies by trying to link their live action garbage to them.
Here are some things to make it better. 1. Put a Spider-Man in there a new one. 2. Make it TV-shows instead of movies. 3. If you are gonna do villains projects make them actual villains insteads od mediocore anti-heroes. in their own movies. Do like what they did to The Joker (2019), and make there origin span through the entire film/series.
An idea I think would work is to switch the lives of Venom and the Sonyverse Spider-Man. While Eddie is doing his best as the lethal protector, our 30 year old Spider-Man is just living his worst life after throwing away the red and blue. After some line of events he comes in contact with venom and it all develops from there.
Sony probably cant use Spider-Man Disney probably has a clause in there that preventing Sony to use Spider-Man in their Sony verse while the MCU has a Spider-Man
While I can't explain why Vulture acts different in Morbius, I could say the reason he got dragged out of the MCU because he was one of the anomolies like in Across the Spider-Verse. I don't think Dr. Strange's spell plays a role in Vulture's transportation.
Honestly, if they're as hellbent on making spiderman villain movies, and they keep making them the way they made Venom and Morbius, I figure they could kinda lean into that. Have it turn out that the SonySpiderverse's big thing is that Spiderman is the ultimate big bad of this universe and all these darker characters that would otherwise have fuckall to do with eachother have to work together to stop him. That's how I'd do it anyway. It probably wouldn't fix anything going forward, but it'd be a pretty novel twist for this cinematic universe that could be pretty fun. Hell, maybe they could kinda do it two fold and bring back the Carnage symbiote so we could have Spider-Carnage as this universe's Spiderman.
I think Sony is just being very petty about it. They dropped the ball with Andrew, they straight up annoyed Raimi so much he quit on the Toby verse, and Tom Holland is doing fire with both of the former variants teaming up with him in NWH. They’re probably embarrassed and feel like they don’t need Spiderman to make a successful Spiderman-Adjacent movie. Which they’re not entirely wrong about that, but they’re definitely not in a steady position anymore after the first Venom movie. Spiderman is the keystone for basically every character’s existence that they’re using for movies. Sony fumbled 2 Spiderman universes, and got pegged by the Disney/MCU movies, and now they’re too petty to try anything directly with him anymore. I am aware that Madame Web is in a time where Peter isn’t even born yet, but that isn’t stopping a Spider-Verse portal thing from occurring. A Spiderman/Woman from a different time and reality could assist them.
Idk why sony is hiding the shit out of Spider-Man in the Sony verse. All this build up and still 0 Spider-Man. We are getting everything but a spider man for this universe
Is it possible...that Peter Parker exists (or DID at one point but doesn't now) in this universe but was never bitten by the Spider(?) Kind of like the current comic story in Ultimate(?) "Oh that universe? Yeah, it's definitely unique. That one, didn't have a Spider-Man to help protect it." Just because I think back to the scene in Venom and remember the Daily Bugle incident being mentioned, but nothing else...made me think that maybe Peter alone ruined Brock, it just wasn't Spider-Man related. I dunno. I don't have faith in them, but the potential to explain it away later does have potential.
The thing about they killing the villains is the actual reason comic characters have a no kill rule Not for some kind of moral superiority but because killing villains is a stupid thing to do because you can necer stablish them as a threat and never use then again in another story
I had an idea if I were to fix the Sonyverse, what if the Spider-Man of the Sonyverse was ACTUALLY an adaptation of the 6160 Ultimate Spider-Man> They would reveal Peter didn't get bitten by the spider yet, or the spider died, but Peter grew up being a healthy strong family man, Aunt May was gone, but Uncle Ben was still around, and has a healthy relationship with his wife MJ and his family? If they were going to show how he gets bitten too late, they could bring a member from the Spider-Society who would try to fix the canon by coming up to him and giving him a spider, or take the ITSV Miles route where Peter gets bitten by a spider that was from an alternate universe that was supposed to bite someone else? They wouldn't bring Tony since Sony only contains the Spider-Man rights tho. The Vulture now finds out Spider-Man NOW exists in this universe, and tries to hunt him down and his family, and Peter has to protect them now that New York is affiliated with a crime lord Vulture filling the streets with crime and corruption.
here’s two things on how to fix the Sony verse and let me know what your thoughts are on the pitches. 1. I would only let Venom have his solo movies and I would have Carnage be the only Symbiote Venom fights. I would also remove the origin story for Venom and establish that Spider-Man exists in the universe. I‘d just make movies about alternate Spider-Man and for the Avengers type movie, I’d include the three live action Spider-Man. 2. If Spider-Man’s villains are going to have solo movies put Spider-Man in each of them and have him win against the villains every movie possibly setting up the sinister 6 in a future MCU Spider-Man movie, where Spider-Man is the main protagonist again.
Easy Fix, put Andrew Garfield Spidey back(idc it's head cannon), just say his webhead has been in depression and missing from helping out New York. He comes back after NWH and sorts out all the chaos going around.
Sony said their universe will end in the future with secret wars, there's no point continuing it without spiderman, it's like having a joker trilogy with no freaking batman... wtf it won't work it'll bomb and bomb release after release.
Here are three solutions from least likely to happen, to most likely to happen: 1. Bring in Andrew Garfield to be this universe’s Spider-Man. Now this is least likely because I’m not sure they even want a Spider-Man to begin with let alone an already established one, and if he is the Spider-Man here, WHERE THE HELL HAS HE BEEN ALL THIS TIME?! 2. Instead of a “Spider-Man” bring in a “Spider-Woman.” This is more likely because with Madame Web coming out, we already have THREE Spider-Women coming including, Araña. So just put one of them in it, or have someone new like Jessica Drew. 3. The most likely and easy thing they can do, is to just make Venom the hero, or “Spider-Man” of this universe. He’s already established as the good guy. It’s simple, it’s easy, it costs less.
You could’ve fixed morbius by just making his powers reliant on how much blood he consumes, and color the weird purple light shimmer/clothing shimmer to be less like light traveling behind him but instead more like blood mist pushing out from his pours shooting out the blood at high speeds. I really feel like morbius would have been so much better if the gore aspect of a friggin’ vampire film wasn’t so blatantly pushed aside. And the powers not tying back to his literal NEED for plasma (1990’s joke) was just irritating, there are even scenes that look like they would have made so much more sense if there were pools of blood literally everywhere. And it would be way crazier to have a character with blood powers, real blood powers, in the sonyverse.
Imo the main issue is this universe has no Spider-man. You cant have villains without the hero to fight or challenge them. Turning these iconic baddies into anti heroes just isnt sustainable. The issue is Sony cant use Peter Parker or miles morales due to the mcu contract and miles being the spiderverse main. So what option do they have? They have 2 actually. Ben Reilly or Kaine would be PERFECT for the much darker Sonyverse. But not as a hero. But as an antagonistic Spider-man. Ben and Kaine are much more brutal than Pete and dont have the "no kill" rule. We'd not only get a new spidey we have never seen before but also a new perspective on the character. It would also be the PERFECT excuse for the sony villains to build the Sinister Six as they are beyond afraid of this more brutal Spider-man. And as a huge spidey fan im perfectly okay with Spider-man being seen as an antagonist. This is the villains' perspective so of course he'll be seen differently. But...sony wont do this because they have no talent writers and execs who dont care and arent creative
spider man literally is there tho, like you see an andrew spidey mural in morbius, hes just slacking off or doing some nwh shenanigans when the movies take place.
“It’s a Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man” I mean… somehow DC’s managed to do it great (granted, Joker is just one - soon to be two - movie(s) and not a lazily slapped together cinematic universe, but still)
4:37 not to play Devil's advocate, but the MCU hadn't set up Thanos by Iron Man 2, and that's pretty much where the Sony-Verse is. Honestly, the best thing Sony could do (and that's why I know they won't do this) is make Ezekiel Sims from Madame Web their Universe's Spider-Man, and make him your Thanos type threat. Establish that in this universe, Spider-Man is the world's greatest super villain, and that the universe corrected itself by turning what are typically Spider-Man's villains into this world's heroes. Boom, now you can have the Sinister Six by your Avengers type Team Up, and you get all your characters fighting Spider-Man. Spider-Verse has already established that Spider-Man doesn't always have to be Peter Parker, so why not make it Ezekiel? It definitely helps set this universe apart from the MCU.
Did you see the horrible costume they gave to Ezekiel in Madame Web's trailers? He looks like straight from a fan film like Spiderman Lotus. And N.2, in the MCU before making Thanos the big bad villain, it was actually considered to make The Mandarin the final villain in the universe (thats why the 10 rings are a terrorist group)
VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (Who is also directing VENOM 3) MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB) And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT AVI ARAD doomed this cinematic universe MADAME WEB is doomed as well, despite not having Arad's involvement
I think you have some great ideas I would like to see more of Andrew Garfield Spider-Man I do feel like he never got his due if they listen to you I’ll start calling the Spider-Dunk verse
