If you have received the blue “Enter Current Password” screen when you try to turn on your Toshiba Laptop and can’t remember the password, here is a quick and easy fix.
Omg! You are great! How did you figure out then “short circuit” solution! It’s such a non technical explanation but I LOVE IT! I’ll let you know if I get it to work. Thank you
*Expected a lot and it probably work for many, one of the few videos that does and good to not upload a video that does not work, but there are no visible Xxx thingy on my laptop. One of the Toshiba L series is the one I have to try this on. Could not find any Xxx anywhere visible if I do not have to remove the entire shell of the whole laptop. Someone suggest something?*
Tom, you will want to remove the back cover, remove the Ram and large ion battery after powering down the device and removing the plug. There are two little nodes that you will need to jumper. I believe there is a number “ST2002” by these nodes. You can make a jumper out of a small strand of Ethernet wire and make it a u shape. You will probably want someone to help you because you are going to have to turn the laptop upright, hold the jumper wire on the nodes and hold down the power button for about 10 seconds all together at one time. Then release the jumper and put back the battery and the ram, restart the laptop and you should be able to enter the bios thru the F2 button. Hope this helps.
