How to Clear the BIOS Password on a Toshiba L655-S5150 Laptop (HD)

This video shows how to clear the BIOS password on a Toshiba L655-S5150 Laptop.
Follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery, hard drive, and 1 stick of RAM.
2. Plug in the power cord.
3. Locate solder points G1 under the RAM and the sticker.
3. Short G1 for at least 10 seconds to clear the BIOS password with a non-magnetized flat head screw driver or another piece of conductive material.
4. Put the laptop back together

I appreciate it very much!! I was taking a laptop apart to take off the battery for resetting and one of screws was worn down and never came out. And then i found this video and it worked!! You saved my time. Thank you.

Really good! Thanks. It worked exactly the same on a Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4033 and cleared the forgotten BIOS password.

I had to figure this out myself, but after a few attempts, I got the bios to reset, however couldn't unlock the Toshiba Hard Drive that came with it on my friends computer, so had to replace it with a Sandisk 480GB SSD, and will be reinstalling it with Windows 10. Glad I looked this up.

Pads are coated with silicone, sometimes you have to clean them up or bridge solder with soldering iron.

Could you please tell me what the other little two knobs called g2r would they remove her professional supervisor registered password after I did your program did work to remove the BIOS password but after several hours it wouldn't let me go up to setup utility again
