I cannot express how grateful I am for this video. My Mac has been gathering dust with virtually zero WiFi for the last couple of years. After multiple calls with ’s technical team + a number of other tech calls, not one of them could fix the issue. Yep, that did it. The Catalina upgrade I did two days ago just went and damaged my wifi specifications. This resolved my issues, thanks a million!

Unfortunately, this also didn't fix my Mac's issue. It seemed like it allowed me to enter my internet password, but it never came back on. Thank you for making this video though; at least I tried another attempt.

This is so legit... My mac was continuously getting disconnected after every 3 mins or smtg and I had to go on connecting it .. my videos used to suddenly start buffering ... but I did this .. followed all the steps n it worked. Just restart ur laptop after u do this :)

There are no tabs in the new mac osx...

This really worked after some frustrating hours yesterday! They updated and renewed the network where I live but my Mac refused to let me login to my new wiredless network. It did not ask for the password so it felt like I was blocked from my own network. Strange I thought as there were no issues when I used my iPhone, iPad, Smart-tv etc. Finally I found this video and after following your instructions I am so happy to say it solved the problem! It really works for me. I am using 16 MBP, and purchased an adopter to connect HDMI. Buying a new one won't be an easy solution, even not guarantee that the new one works fine. Sometimes the issue is due to the setting. I just removed all saved connections and renewed DHCP lease. I made exactly the same all checked as in the video at 1:10.

There is something wrong with this 2020 macbook pro. About every 5 miutes, I lose all network I/O for about 10 seconds. I have like 5 other devices on the same wifi network none have issues. I've already restored the macbook to factory settings. Any ideas?

Tks tried for months to solve this problem. Tried all your suggestions and finally disconnected WIFI and used Ethernet connection only, This seems to have done the trick as immediate improvement.

thank you!! all you have to do is delete your network you have problems with from the advanced wifi menu and u dont have to delete the rest and no need to use keychain access

tryed to fixing my wifi disconnecting problem as you have shown me in this video, However it still keeps shuting off im using an macOS Catalina - Mac Pro 27” has been doing this since i have bought it NEW in 2017

A1 thanks man. Well explained and concise. Wifi was connecting on other macs and devices but not one in particular. Problem solved.

After exhausting all methods. Created a new profile. Logged into the new profile. Logged back into main profile, and it worked.

what if you don't have a keychain access tab but a keychain tab? what can I do for that step?

I just bought WiFi band in the end and replaced it with new. This fixed my problem. There is a tutorial on RU-vid on how to replace.👍

On my Mac it says status: off but then I hit turn WiFi on and it just glitches out and does nothing. Anyone know how to fix it?

My issue is that the “Turn Wi-Fi On/Off” button is broken. I go to click it ON and in a millisecond it just reverts to OFF I must be having a whole other issue here. I restarted it and that didn’t help. It’s a 2012 MacBook Pro running OS Catalina 10.15.7

For me, it's the Norton update that cause the wifi connection error. Even though I have uninstalled to scratch and reinstall, it's still doesn't work. Eventually I have to remove Norton anti-virus and just keep the Norton vpn. Wifi now stayed

Hi, I have the same problem but my iMac don’t won’t to connect to my wifi while doing step 13. I have no idea what to do. Once Wi-Fi is disconnected I have to restart whole computer to connect again to network. Usually few times a day 🤦🏻‍♀️ please help, router is ok
