I can relate. Some of the Bible’s I have come close to being idols. That’s awesome how the Lord wrinkles some of your favorite purple ones. Shows His love for us.
I would turn all those marks into a spiritual story. Like the mark made by that rude guy in the book of Genesis, think of the Cross, when Christ Jesus died, remember that the Veil in the Holy of Holies was ripped from top to bottom, that’s what came to me as you told us ur experience. ❤️ much love

Oh sis, I am in AWE with what you have done to the pages esp the dedication page!!! I absolutely love French and anything French, so to see that you put in Je T'aime (I love you) and those French inspired stickers you put in, spoke directly to me. I am in LOVE with what you've been doing with this bible!! Re the marks, I was thinking something similar to Alicia when I first saw the marks. My 62P came to me with 2 very deep solid scratches in the gilding. I was sooo disappointed, it was new and I hadn't even used it once. But this is the story of Jesus, what's in the Word and those in the world who scourged Him, who hate His Word because they hate the Light and the Truth! This mark is definitely to remind you sis of the stripes that the Lord has from the scourging of the unbelievers (which this guard clearly was). Pray for him to find Christ and learn to handle God's Word with care and love. Pray for his soul to be saved. Perhaps this was the way for someone to pray for him. He may need your daily prayers. And I think that God is saying not to treat the bible as an idol, you've said this many times, and it's definitely something we are all prone to do with such expensive bibles. They are our tool to love and enjoy, no matter what! Thanks for the tip sis (I have some pages like this too) and words cannot express how much I LOVE you to pieces sis!!!
Awe yes... yes sister I agree with you 100% here. Prayers will be the best thing here for the security guard and all other similar unbelievablers like him. 🙏 I'm so sorry your came with the same marks too sis. Our Bibles are even sisters too 🤭😉😂🤣 I love you to pieces sis. Ohhhh and thank you for telling me about that French work for (I love you) I had nooooo idea. Now I knew that was from the Holy Spirit at work 💜💗💕
Maybe there's more to the story than you mentioned here in the video, but nothing you said indicates he isn't saved or doesn't believe in Christ. There's a good chance he's just not aware that there are Bibles that cost the better part of a week's worth of his pay. Until recently, the most expensive ones I knew about were the genuine leather ones I had seen in bookstores. I'm not defending the guy, and like I said, maybe there was more going on than what came across in your video...just offering another perspective.
Of course there was more going on. Like I said in the video he has been dealing with hundreds of people. I never said he intentionally wanted to destroy the Bible. I only say exactly how he handled it. I don't care if it's a premium Bible or a $5 Bible it still deserves respect nooooo matter what
Very good message! And very helpful tip in how to fix those pages. I got a Bible that I really wanted for a long time. I've only had it for 2 days now and the title page just folded, not too bad because I notice pretty quickly, but long enough that is still noticeable. Will be trying this. Thank you! I believe you've mentioned it before and I know you have several premium Bibles, in your opinion what are the best premium Bibles to own and why? I'll be honest I'm not big on the block letters that I've seen several have but as far as anything else goes I'm pretty good with it. Although the color leather (bright colors; red, blue, purple, etc) are the best imo.
Soooo much braver than me sis. I can't even use a heat gun on my Journaling Bibles with 40gsm paper without it getting all wrinkly looking. I couldn't imagine how messy my 28gsm would be 😂🤣 noooo I'm good with this idea. But...but thank you so much for sharing this. I know a lot of people here will suggest tips that they haven't necessarily tried it out on a premium Bible. They believe (Hey it works in my ESV Crossway Journaling Bible.... so course it will work in your higher end Bible too) they never understand that the paper is completely different. So now I try to make it a point to check the comments section and make sure my attendance isn't receiving bad information. Not at all saying that's yours sis. I just wanted you to understand why all the questions. 😘😍💕
I found a way of helping heavy scratches in guilding, it won't erase the whole thing but if a big, deep scratch and it has removed the guilding - I use Sanford Uniball Gel pen in gold or silver - depending on the original color of guilding. Be sure to hold the pages down strongly or weight the Bible down with other books. Tap tap tap, lightly until it adds enough gold or silver in the "hole" or length of the scratch. After that let it dry thoroughly. It will look more as a scratch rather than a scrape or gouge. I did that to my KJV Study Bible, large Bible, and I don't know how it got there - but it improved the look so much that I wasn't as heartsick.
Cat I have a question for you. With my Bible I accidentally yarn and spittle sprayed out on the page in tiny spots and once it dried it created a crinkle in one area. Do you have any ideas on how to fix that? I have considered the option of taking a iron and press it out. But I have never done that before and I really don't know what I would be getting myself into if I tried that. For instance what if it burns the page or turns the white color into yellow or a darker color. Or even make worse wrinkles. Feel free to give me your comments on this matter. Because I'm trying to find good advice so I don't get in more trouble
Oh no 🤦🏻♀️ I don't understand why RU-vid never told me about your comment. I am only just now reading this a year later I'm so so sorry. As for your question. You can totally iron the page what i would suggest first is get a paper towel and turn to the last page of the Bible so the same page I say to use as your tester page for pens & highlighters put the paper towel on top and iron it out on low test to see what it does to the paper. And remember just because it worked on one Bible paper may not work on another all Bible papers are different so be careful. Good luck 👍🏻
