Have this problem with the double click but on nearly all the buttons its been driving me crazy.

I now have 3 Xbox one controllers. All 3 have different defects. Two have the problem with the D-Pad, with the other controller the start button only works very irregularly and with great pressure. I have already taken apart all 3 controllers and cleaned both the buttons and the PCB. unfortunately no improvement. My 12 year old 360 controller is still working perfectly. (If you ignore a few external signs of use)

Dude both of my series X controllers are registering double inputs every few clicks or so and it’s very annoying in games like Skyrim where you can sell a janky piece of armor and then suddenly you sell your best item also because it double registered A

for me two of the dpads are squishy and don’t click properly, i took the front off and when i press one of them, the other pops up, i click that one and the other one pops up but one always stays down as if i was still pressing it. any fix for this without unscrewing it?

great video only thing that woulda made it better was if u showed a video of it working because when ive pulled up them pads i never got lucky enough to have a contact still showing close enough to just drop a small solder bridge id always have to leaad a wire back to a source or make my own contact them xbox one controllers aint no joke tho u got to be extra careful them pads come up easier than stuff on cell phones ive repaired .

i love the feel of these controllers but their quality control is absolutely horrible. i’ve had about 5 controllers that have had the double click issue as well as the buttons not registering. my elite series 2, which i take good care of, has like triple clicks on the bumpers but my a,b,x,y buttons don’t register half the time. these controllers would probably be my favorite if they didn’t break constantly

the dpad problem is like my controller but mine is with the bumpers. and sometimes when i press the bumpers, it doesn't register it

So I have replaced the d pad membrane and it still double clicks and I have to push hard to get the button to register idk what I’m Doing wrong

I need help with mine. My Xbox controller was working just fine yesterday afternoon. Then I woke up and my Xbox controller started moving the camera on its own and double clicking everything. i am on my 4th Xbox Elite 2 controller. the 1st one was purchased off of amazon. right out the box the joysticks would drift. Screwed. Controller #2 was purchased from Walmart with protection plan. RB button would constantly not register unless i pressed it down unreasonably hard. Returned. Controller #3 had the exact same issue but on the Y button. Returned. Controller #4 HAS BOTH ISSUES THAT CONTROLLER 2 & 3 HAD!!! W. T. F. this is so frustrating.

I bought a stick drift fix, a set of new potentiometers, an Xbox controller repair kit, a solder tool, and solder wire for about $45. I might have to buy a new controller for like, $120 tho. It'll be a nicer controller thankfully

Kinda dropped the bad boy and the left analog stick no longer responds when I click it. Should I pay to refurbish it or just keep playing with it until it starts working again? I don't have the luck to do this myself. I'll break something some how

Ours got a little wet today with water. Not much got in. Got it nice & dried out but this double jumping issue is happening now. I’d rather just buy a new controller. Thankfully it was just a $30 one.

I have a special customized controller (Cool skin, fancy dpad and bumpers etc.). Wanted to keep all the fancy accessories because the RT spring loader broke. So I dismantled it, I used the boards from another controller and assembled my accessories to those boards. Now I am having a double click issue with my bumpers and dpad. The left analog stick, however is not responding AT ALL. Could this be because I replaced the sensors inside the joysticks incorrectly? Also why does this not happen "In-Game" as opposed to being on the Xbox menu???

My XB1 controller's A button doesn't respond or does like six clicks. Microsoft says "It's faulty. Buy a new one." Problem is they don't sell the XB1 controller new anymore.

My dpad misses clicks sometimes and other times I have to spam it, it also double clicks when pressed once quite often. The video didn't show how to fix as in title. All I got from that was it could be solder or the sticker but that's not a definite.

I just bought a brand new xbox controller, like the one in the video. And out the box BOTH the d-pad and the left joystick have the "skip" issue, for example in the fifa menu moving the joystick fully to one or the other side it skips twice. But if i just barely *gently* move it, it only moves 1 option/bar at once. How the fuck can microsoft: a multibilliondollar company have such an issue and find it acceptable!?

If you’re having this issue in 2024+, just shake your controller. I really don’t know why but it works. If that doesn’t work, I suggest getting some electronic cleaner BEFORE you buy all this extra stuff

My xbox one controller has started 'double clicking' when i press A pretty regularly. I have had multiple microsoft controllers (360/xbox one) and between stick drift issues and now this a button issue their Quality control is absolute crap. I still have my 2 year old Ps4 Pro controller that has yet to have ANY issues. My ps3 controller still works fine albeit its now a bit stiff due to time. Sony seems to have much more resilient controllers.

I've never had to replace a controller with any console that I've ever had. Always had the original without issues. Get a series s and my controller has ridiculous drift and double input on the joysticks and dpad just a year later 🤦‍♂️

You can update your controller to stop the double clicking go to my games and apps then Xbox accessories then update it then problem solved

Bought a new controller because of this problem, within 5 weeks same issue developed. My NES controller from 1987 still works perfectly. Stuff they make now is garbage from China and it's all shit.

No, On Your Xbox Console Go to Settings Go down to Controller Settings and Default Your Controller back to Factory Settings My Left Joy Stick was changed to (A) button and my (A)Button was changed to Left Joy Stick @CrazyUncleJoJo
