How to Flash a Firmware to the Syncrobit eMMC using a Raspberry Pi CM4 IO Board 

There are several different CM4 IO Boards to choose from. The reason I chose the Waveshare CM4 IO BASE-A board is because it can be powered directly from the USB-C port and it is almost half the price of the official Raspberry Pi CM4 IO Board. When using an IO Board, you need to follow the boards instructions on how to enable USB Boot Mode. With the Base-A board you just need to flip a switch to ON (03:55). Some other boards require the use of a jumper.

Is it possible to get my Syncrobit miner working on the network again by installing the Nebra firmware, as shown in the video? I believe many Syncrobit owners have the same question.

So why are we downloading the firmware and Balena etcher? At what point do we insert that SD card in the miner that we burned with Balena etcher?

my computer gives me a "device descriptor request failed" once i run in piboot and stops the connection. Any info on that?

Do we have to do this every time there is a firmware update or once it is done it should do OTA updates?

If we are wiping the ROM don't we lose the configuration and miner name/information in that process as well?

i flashed my synchrobit today about 10 mins ago and everything is up and working with firmware 2023-2-24.zip. Helium Explorer still shows my old miner and says inactive, but locally in the device says its running Nebra and "ALL OK' for both "Device Info" and "Helium" tabs. Do you think I just need to wait for this to sync?

Has anyone gotten this to work? i have flashed with the nebra firmware with Balena Etcher. I've lost the LED indicators and it has been plugged im for 4-5 hours and still offline on helium explorer. i can login to the Nebra console (password is the mac address with no : ) but it states: "Device Information Overall Status: Errors Found, Radio Operational: Awaiting Location Assertion, ECC Detected: False

Does it have to be nebra firmware specifically or
