Both designs work well on normal towels, but how would you roll super thick plush towels?

This worked great with my crazy thick towels but I couldn't get it to work with thinner hand towels. I do like an envelope fold with those tucking the loose ends and that works okay but I was hoping to make it all look samey. Any suggestions?

I found that, with hand towels, folding them in half didn't work very well. Instead, I folded them so that they would make a square (or pretty close to one) then I proceeded with the steps and that worked great!
