When did they go from the space frame trail,, to the folding models what year was that

In 2011 they left the space frame Trail and introduced the adjustable seat recline Trail. I believe it was 2015 that they came out with the foldable Trail. bicycleman.com/catrike-trail-recumbent-trike/

Can it fit in a sedan trunk once folded?

Folding trikes will not fit in most car trunks. They will fit in almost any SUV or hatchback. We put 2 folded trikes in a Honda fit once.
