Yes, I noticed that Amazon did add that suggestion when uploading your eBook manuscript. I will definitely be adding TOCs to any future ebooks going forward. And it is nice for the readers :) Thanks!
The problem I am having is that when I upload to kindle manuscript it's fine for about a minute then a no table of contents appear. It works fine testing on docs. But it is 2 clicks ? Thanks for your video.
Here is a short cut to making the table of contents, once you have all your headings done. In google docs go under the insert tab and at the very bottom it says table of contents. It will give you three options to choose, but also the links are already linked to each heading. You don't have to do it manually.

Interesting... I didn't realize KDP allows you to upload .docx, my current problem is that my TOC wasnt clickable I'm Kindle coming straight from Google Docs to Epub. I will try it your way and see if it works. Thanks.
Hello, sometimes this happens. I would see where the pages are not aligned and ensure there are page breaks and headings where they need to be. Then try uploading again. Also, if you're uploading a .docx file try downloading it as a .ebup

Hello thanks! If you're not enrolled in the KDP Select Program (have your book exclusive with Amazon), you can use the ISBN Walmart provides. For ebooks, no need to worry about this because the isbn will be unique for that platform. Thanks for watching!
For me, I already know how to create a book. I just need to know how to export and successfully load the manuscript to KDP Amazon Kindle. Every time I click the button it says it can not download. I dont know why. I converted the manuscript to docx, opened it in KDP previewer and exported it to Amazon, It says successfully uploaded then i click save and it says it was not able to download. Every thing else word fine. how do i download my book so i can publish it? I wrote a rhyming children's book.

Yes, you can still use Google Docs and save your file as a word doc or pdf in order to upload your paperback file to KDP. You just need to update the dimensions of your document. Make sure you're using page breaks. Also, I've noticed if you upload your book as a PDF instead of a Word Document it seems to have better formatting. Sometimes things get jumbled when uploading as a word document. ❤️

If I'm understating correctly the book cover is a separate doc that you can upload in KDP. You can even create your cover in KDP as well with their cover creator. First you must find the dimensions of your book (most popular is 6x9) and upload it. Canva is a free tool you can use to resize your book cover especially if you're using your own. They also have templates to make it super easy. Good luck!
If you wanted to add an image on the first page of a chapter or on the title page, do you just insert the image? This will work on Kindle when submitting a Word version when using these formatting options?
Yes, you would simply insert the image. I've done this with an image in my books multiple times for an email opt-in. Just ensure that when you format that the image fits inside the border of the template. Also, the image has to be clear and high quality. They will give you a quality warning if it's not. If you wanted to upload more content to Kindle you'd have to add that content into your existing book and upload that new document. You can only add documents one at a time.
