SpookLuke thanks for confirming what I thought I'd been noticing: when in the air going for an aerial I'd noticed that my car wouldn't 'bounce off'' the ball as much when using airroll (either regular or directional) and I thought it may have been coincidence.

I am gc and was doing flip resets wrong but everything else right, when you said what you said abt flip resets I hopped into training and did a double almost instantly lmao. I can do triple flip resets consistently now. Thank you

I started practising flip resets at the end of this season (Season 2/16), now for season 3 I think I'm just gonna stay away from ranked and try to get some freestyle-ish clips in casual because I wanna have fun

Hey luke, thank you so much for the great video. Recently I have been able to do rings map flawlessly with air roll left all thanks to your videos, but for some reason, I cant air roll while air dribbling like you do sometimes in your highlights. Could you do a tutorial on this mechanic?

Idk if anyone is gonna read this, but im writing it anyways: I havent really seen any youtuber talk about this, but i'm currently learning directional air roll and i got 1 major tipp. If you are on PC you can use bakkes mod (or for console game modifiers in a private match) to slow down the game speed (in freeplay only ofc) .... i have 4 speeds i use, 0.25x 0.5x 0.75x and 1x ... i used the 0.25 to learn the most basic aerial spinning, only steering when my hood is facing me (the camera)... when i got a few stages on lethamyrs rings map with this, i moved up the speed to 0.5, and so on.... after that, i did the same with when the underside of my car was facing the cam.... then you can also do the sides if you want, i should have done it probably, but didnt want to :D then i tried to constantly steer in 0.25x speed.. dont matter which face is facing me, putting it all together... thats the stage im currently in... i still often blackout, but this will come over time. hope i could help anyone with that... that really helped me understand the movements. ofc you can also do this for dribbling, flicks, airdribbles... but be careful, the car movement speed is hard to judge when in slower gamespeed, so it might not be the best for some situations to learn it that way

For the air roll reducing knockback tip, does this count when holding air roll right or left instead of the air roll button? I'm c2 now and I don't have an air roll button set, I air roll left and right with bumpers.

after watching the flip reset tips i realised ive been doing exactly what i shouldnt be doing and i went into freeplay practice for around 20 minutes and got my first reset down

i just learned how to fly lmao, i can imagine if i learn this shit how much more fun it will be
