Only tutorial that actually helped. Nobody else was mentioning the too slow/too fast positioning. Tried going too fast for an entire hour before finding this.
Rare said it wasn't bannable when talking about the different exploits they are fixing and other ones they aren't. I believe it was like a video that had to do with them talking about skull and siren song. The Reports you can do for "movement exploits" is referring to hacking. They're just not very smart and didn't call it "cheating" they called it "exploits". There has been false bans though. Rare stated these are false bans, but it can happen nonetheless
Showing what it looks like when going too fast/slow is 100% what every tutorial is missing to make it clear how you're screwing it up when learning it. Actually useful tutorial on the subject for once, ty
there's some variations of it on that exact same spot, allows you to adjust your angle when launching. you can either go like 10 degrees diagonal forward, or full on diagonal forward like with the one you showed in the vid. the angle depends on if you're looking down or at mid, that particular launch is also triggered with d and space
I have a hard time making it launch consistently. Whether because of the waves rocking the ship or another factor, even when I feel like I lodged myself in there perfectly in the middle, almost every launch just glitches me a bit the moment I press a+space, or it launches me a few hundred feet, with every so often a launch actually working really well. I try to copy the position in your video best I can, but especially when I look up, nothing happens. Any tips? My fps is around a 100 btw. How consistently can you get it? Or is it normal that it's inconsistent?
I’ve been able to slightly launch on controller I knew for a fact I was just missing one key ingredient and that was graphics, time to hop on Xbox and ladder launch for real instead of just a couple hundred feet
Yeah I know now and I have put it in a lot of comments aswell. If you don't go diagonal forward that means you were just slightly too fast with dubble pressing your interact key
Yeah I had that issue for a while. It means you are either still too slow or too fast with pressing the interact key and you are not exactly in the middle or you are too high or too low on the staircase. When you look down after getting into the railing you should be able to see the railing but not too much of it
it’s crazy how rare doesn’t think this or alliance servers aren’t bannable but i get banned permanently for a second strike on teaching a new player how to play their shit game 💀💀
@@DavidSOTyou know the item menu bug? maybe it’s just a console thing but a bug basically didn’t allow you to pull up your menu wheel and only way to fix it was to go to the ferry. i typed “ky$” in chat because they were asking how to do it and then another ship pulled up and saw my message but they only screenshotted the ky$ part and i got banned
@@ItsJDonRU-vid nope i was playing with my little cousin and he doesn’t have a mic so he was wondering why u can’t pull it out but some discord mod thought i was telling him to unalive himself and it got false reported. i don’t shit talk in sea of thieves it’s such a chill game
I am on xbox, i use controller, it is not possible bc our framerate caps at 60 and theres no graphics settings. Unfortunately not enough for funny launch:(
Thanks, I sent support a ticket last week asking them what the fuck a movement exploit was and they didn’t elaborate, just assumed they were keeping it vague so they could ban whoever they wanted. Glad funny launching is in the clear
@@user-ij8ef2ck4uImagine a new player getting banned because they accidentally touched a ladder the wrong way. That would, (just like you,) be very stupid.
both of you be quiet, it should not be bannable, reason is, because it’s an exploit. Simply meaning, players found a way to do something in the fame that’s not meant to be in the game. But it’s not bannable because its not external software lile a cheat engine.
It doesn't work on console because this cheater exploit works based on high FPS. Basically, griefer cheaters are paying to win by buying excessively priced hardware. Cheaters never win. They just make everyone lose. Cheaters are losers.
@@keilafleischbein59 In my opinion this isn't cheating. Cheating is when people use external software to gain a unfair advantage. I do however understand your view but I think these kind of exploits makes it so people who have played the game for a long time don't get beaten by new players who happen to be with more players. Not everyone who uses this is a toxic griefer.
