Nice swing. My 2 cents on the topic at hand. Rory Mcilroy ( a swinger) gets his power from body rotation. He has to wind up (X-factor) on the backswing , then unwind from the ground up on the downswing. He could never come close to his normal clubhead speed swinging on 1 leg and probably would hurt himself trying. Then there are "hitters", who push the club with brute muscular force from the right side of the body. They need that right foot to push off of and would never come close to normal clubhead speed swinging on 1 foot. Toni Finau comes to mind with his short backswing and violent transition. Then there is Sergio Garcia ( a handle dragger ) who says he "pulls the club down with his arms not the body" . Now with that technique the upper body is the primary power source (as in your swing , imo) and the lower body just gets out of the way. So you and Sergio can do the one leg swing nicely. Jim Hardy called it the "karate chop" method in The Plane Truth. Here is Sergio explaining his pulling method ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rGrqwFMu9wA.html Now what types of players were the "scientists" comparing that you talked about at the beginning? I bet they don't know or care. They just compared apples and oranges , thinking they were all oranges , then crunched the numbers. As is so often the case in this enigmatic game where there are a million ways to skin a cat.

This is the perfect description of when coaches say "swing fast, not hard". Just joined the master plan! Finally going to implement some of these lessons.

I'm going to do this tomorrow, I'll let you know. I got a good felling about this one.

This tip literally transformed my iron game. I was getting instruction from someone who wants me to exit left and literally caused far more problems than it solved. Brilliant instruction. I am coming to the golf room this year!!

you do exit left! But... your old instructor definitely was teaching it incorrectly. Body rotation + proper release to the right = exit left with stable face. The golf room does just this.

Brilliant instruction!!. You seem to encourage holding the clubface off.. Not turning the clubface over through impact... Not rolling the forearms... Confusing,, other coaches suggest rolling over the forearms to release the clubhead....for instance the L to L drill. I do prefer your approach though. Is the L to L drill not good. ?? Regards David

Completely agree that the hip turn speed is not the power source... I have never thrown a frisbee trying to spin as fast as I can.. Can you show me where to find that study? I want to be able to back up my point when trying others to convince. Thanks

You can just show them me hitting in the video! My hips only increased my speed .8 mph!

The frisbee is an example of opposite, try just arm throw for distance then try like a baseball delivery , guaranteed second throw goes a lot further, getting shoulder turn.

Can you clear up some confusion? When you watch a good tour player, say Justin Rose etc, he opens his hips and upper body on the downswing at the same time as dropping the club to the inside before impact so he does not come over the top and thereby clears the way for the club to swing through as hard as he can. Your thoughts?

Geez 204 with a 6 iron? You should be on tour… I’m lucky if my 6 goes 160….
