This is the first and only self-defence stuff on YT that comes across as legit. None of this “the twist their thumb clockwise” BS. Simple principles you might just be able to do while you’re shitting yourself. Great stuff.
I am very convinced that this instructor is absolutely legitimate! He's stressing on the point that your self-defense should be based mainly on gross motor skills, so that it stays simple and most effective. No unnecessary fancy stuff. 👍👍
I know I’ve thanked you before, but I’ve just got to thank you again for giving me the knowledge and guts to take my wife out on the town without the need to conceal carry. Please keep the info coming. God bless you, my friend.
This guy is the real deal. Absolutely awesome. When I watch the videos of his training, I can’t help but think how lucky those students are to be there with him learning those skills.
It’s a nasty world out there, full of bad people. People like you make this world a better place, and give us the confidence, and knowledge to defend ourselves in these potential dangerous situations. I salute you sir.
His comment about which leg generates power is spot on. He’s teaching the rear leg drop step/hip rotation. Classic technique. In Muay Thai/Kali we typically close distance and “stomp” in with our lead leg. The stomp ideally lands on the floor as my elbow simultaneously lands on their nose. Or sternum. Trachea. Whatever. But I’m digging the strike he’s teaching here. Non telegraphed, short arc, striking “through” the assailant, etc. practicing this with my buddy today!!!
Mate please tell me are you going to do some seminar in Prague you do great real job I was military 4 years I can tell you this is the real deal, all regrads@@schoolofselfprotection
@niallgreene5718 I believe in it because I have my own real life experience. Lee showed me one of the ways and was one of the biggest influences for me indeed. But I don’t like to talk about who is the best because I’m not in a competition with anyone. I think it’s more important to reach as much people with this material. So more people know how to protect themselves. It’s not about me. Or Lee. It should never be about that. It’s about the people. And people only.Lee would say the same.
@@schoolofselfprotection Eloquently said, sir. 100 % correct. You don't get involved in paltry politics. You stay focus on your goals. You are an honor to your mentors!
@@schoolofselfprotection Michel please forgive me for how I came across I meant no disrespect.. I've been subscribed to both you and Lee for a long time and am a massive fan of the teaching and principles. I graded in 2 systems but this stuff you do, spoke to my head and heart many years ago. My message was in response to the guy who posted and I assumed maybe wrongly that maybe he never have heard of Lee. And I absolutely believe you are carrying the torch for the system and never doubted you have a very knowledgeable background. Once again my apologies
Hey Michiel. Wederom een hele goeie video ! Dank je ! Mag je school enorm groeien. ---------------------------------------------------- Hi Michiel Again we would like to thank you for another excellent video. May your school be as big as ever before.
I 100% agree with all that you are saying. If you are wanting to defend yourself listening to these guys is gonna help you. Just have to get your head right for it
I can relate to that natural feeling of the left slap as a right handed person. I don't know why either, but I think as one is turned already to the right a little, the short step combined with the short body rotation and the little distance to the target gives just a natural feeling of a very powerful and quick shot. It's basically like a check left hook but with even more thud because of the step. Beside of that, it's also a very good setup for the right palm I think, as its perfectly loaded after the left slap. It's like powerslapping the guy into a freight train. Jason Bourne won't appreciate when he gets his first liquid meal after that encounter.
Although Richard Dimitri blocked me on social media..and we had normal respectful conversations via the same channels…and I’m still wondering why he blocked me 😆😆 I can say his shredder belongs somewhere. Although it’s not coming out of my instincts..I see it work in a horizontal grappling situation. I used his passive shredder at the door on a drunk with success. I wish Richard all the best. Unfortunately he could not stand me for some reason. If I ever meet him I will ask him face to face. But no disrespect from me to him.
I want to know how to defend against the groin strikes and what is the best stance for it. Because it's the weakest part of male body and all it takes is one hit and you're done. So i want a guide on how can i attack and in the same time i still protect it all the time 💪
I haven't seen it in any of your videos but I'm curious do you do any training on the wooden dummy? I understand partner training is preferred but what are your thoughts on it from a development of technique standpoint?
I don't know if this guy can fight or not because I haven't seen him do anything but situational drills with compliant partners. This doesn't mean he can't fight, it just means that there's no real evidence to support this. I would like to see him in an MMA style contest to get a closer look at his skills under stress. Most combatives guys conveniently say that this kind of test would have no merit. I disagree...
haha nothing to prove here. But I did multiple combat sport fights. But combat sports are not real street encounters. For that i would refer you to my youtube videos. I use real life footage of me doing it for real. There is more to find. But again..nothing to prove here. If in any case anyone wants to test in real life with "sparring"..my door is always open. Sparring is not real street violence but the offer stands. I'm a martial artist all my life and i still train with experts to stay a student and to work on my skillset.
@@schoolofselfprotection So you’re saying that real life footage of you in real street fights exists somewhere? If so, please let me know where I can watch this…
Yes. Do you always have to be so incredibly awesome behind your laptop in your mom’s basement? Acting all specialist? Go eat your twinkies super funny man.
@@schoolofselfprotection Did I hurt your feelings? Isn't the first rule of self defence not to get sucked into fights by being overly aggressive and knowing how to remove yourself before the situation gets out of hand. You're the type who strikes someone because you feel you've been disrespected they hit their head on the road and you end up jail for 30 years for manslaughter. Jog on hero and in your next video can you not wear your girlfriends top. Ya clown.
Is that preparing you for multiples and weapons? Is that boxing gym teaching you how to fight in a phone box/elevator/stairway? Is that boxing gym teaching you how to deal with the fear and adrenaline you feel when it’s real? Is the answer is yes..you found the perfect boxing gym.
