Great video, I know about the cap on side, But great video to take console apart, because my shifter cable popped off the shifter and had to be put back on ....Thanks, NO waste of time at all as far as I am concerned .....THANKS :)

You did to many steps if you look on the passenger side theres a cap on the conceal you pop that off and use a screw driver to push forward

I got as far as popping off the cap... what am I trying to push with a screwdriver lol... I'm trying with a butter knife

My daughter has 2012 Lincoln MKzthe battery has juice. I cannot start the car. I’m just trying to turn the key to accessory and put it into neutral so I can roll it and it won’t work. I’m not getting any sound when I turn it into accessory or anything.

Does it have a push start button or key for the ignition? If it has a push start button, sometimes you can hold the push start button down and it will turn on the accessory mode. Let me know if that helps.

@@TowMan127 no it does not have the push start my apologies. I figured it out when I first tested the battery. It showed that it was fully charged because my son and his friend were charging it before I got there a half hour later I checked it again it was totally dead so I jumpstarted it and as soon as I took my jumper off the battery, it died the car so, dad told me that the alternator and the battery or shot thank you for replying

@@richroc7 yeah sounds like the alternator isn’t working. If you take the cables off and the car shuts off instantly, the alternator isn’t charging.

Thanks, did help getting inside console. Just wondering if there's anything in there, wire, switch that affects the AC? Cold in Park, i press the trigger on shifter, air turns cool, not as cold anymore, until i put back in Park. Ty
