How to Get a Difficult Motorcycle Tire Bead to Seat 

Had the same problem with my XR350 stock rim. Used tire lube, 45 lbs and still had to beat it with a hemmer. Watched your video for a better solution but it ended up being the same solution lol

Thanks for the tips. I usually use a ratchet strap to compress the tire and push the sides out while slowly inflating

Same problem - sprayed both sides liberally with Simple Green and it seated right off.

Going to have to try this! I have the exact same problem on the front wheel and tire of my bike. I’ve got maybe a four or 5 inch section where you can see that mold line on the tire dips down below the edge of the rim where the rest of it has the space. spitting the wheel and tire on the stand, you can see it induce a dip or wobble to the tire. I shall go grab my rubber mallet and begin hammering thusly!

Thank you for your help.. I tried to change my own front tire and tube on a Honda Shadow Phantom yesterday. Got tube and tire in and went to a neighborhood garage to fill tire and had the same problem. I released the air and broke the bead 3 times, and still I couldn't get that one area to come up. The mechanic even applied some kind of tire lube and filled it up to 60psi. I was like what are you doing? Max is 29psi. Still didn't help. I was disappointed and left. I was thinking maybe I installed the tube or tire wrong. It was my first time. I will try your method tomorrow and hope it works for mine. Thanks. I'll let you know.
