In this video I share with you a few tips on how to get a flat concrete floor when using a concrete power screed to screed your concrete floors. Knowing how to run the power screed and not get humps and dips in the floor is important for a successful installation.

please make more videos you teach me alot , i poured 315 yards last month with a 10 foot vibrastrike 2, 1 man and i had alot of humps but it didnt matter in a cattle lot and they wanted massive volume for the cheapest price, all 5 inches. so I raked and tamped it with my come-along then pulled it back 10 feet at a time while working with the driver. some sectioned humped and some did not.

Great video. I am finishing my old garage. The floor has some cracks in it and looks like it was never screened when it was poured. It's very rough and out of level. Your videos will help me a lot and I hope to be done with it over the summer.

Mike I know this is an old video, but I've been watching a lot of your videos and have a question. If you're screeding a more narrow area, would you ever rest the ends of the screed on the forms if the screed board is longer than the area you're working. Would that still work ok?

The whole purpose of screening is to get a flat surface. The rakers are important, but if you have high or low areas in the surface, it's due to poor screeding. That's what the screeder is for.

Seems the concrete had too much water which would not allow it to be drug by the screed. It would also make the slab weak and prone to cracking. Would like to see a 4 or 5 slump worked with machine.

MrMayhem87 Could you please explain to me the term “slump” in concrete. What do you mean by concrete slump
@JeffMTX
@JeffMTX 4 года назад
@@braulioperales10 Search it in youtube- there are people who demonstrate it to death. It's how far down the cone falls when you pull the cone off the concrete mix. 0" < slump < 12" by definition, but 4in slump is a little dry, 6" slump is pretty wet. I think these guys must be using a water reducer to get liquidity like that.
