In this video Heimler walks you through the very simple steps for how to get a good grade in any AP class you're taking. Truthfully, the advice is so universal that it applies to getting a good grade in all your classes. It's better to start the year off right by going to class and doing what your teacher tells you to do than to have to make up ground later.
And to be clear, this video is mainly aimed at folks who are trying to find a hack to school work, to try to exert the least amount of effort possible. I'm aware that there are folks who really DO put in the work but for whatever reason, the grades don't reflect that work. Even so, the advice remains the same. If you go to class and do what they tell you to do, your grades will be better, no matter what, than if you don't.

it's also cause ap scores just released for certain people, so he probably decided to release a video on this day for the people who may have seen previous scores, been upset and decided to change, or were content with their work and decided to develop further for some reason.

For APUSH it’s okay. From my teacher, we learn one subject a week, 2 days of notes, 2 days of reviewing, and do the essay on fridays. Hopefully your teacher has the same format, but it’s how I learned and it’s mainly frq and dbqs we have done. Srq are okay, multiple choice questions I do not know because COVID had hit during the time. If you like I do not mind showing you my notes.

@@shannonmatinsk4058 The ultimate learning tip I could give is, don't memorize. Everything has a cause-effect relationship. If you learn to connect the dots of every event it will all make sense, and give you an easier time studying overall.

You were a big help on the APWH exam. Luckily I had a great teacher but virtual learning made everything more difficult plus I have been in a constant depression since late-ish 2019, including the entirety of APWH. Without you're content I doubt I could've gotten a 4 in spite of me sadly failing the class. Your content is very informative, thank you.

I know this is pretty much every comment on your videos now but I want to sincerely thank you for your help with APWH. My teacher still did a great job but they were forced to cut corners due to COVID. You are probably one of the main reasons I scored like I did on the exam. I had to study a lot of info on my own and you are probably the best review channel out there. Your videos were concise and incredibly informative. I will be back for APUSH soon, have a good summer.

Now, I just started taking APUSH and I'm already not doing that well. But I think this advice and your videos will help me succeed in the future. Also, I know that I'm a no-brained buffoon, but I believe that the reason why you got an C on that essay was that you had mentioned that you would even settle for just a C, which he did so. I know that I'm just into AP and college courses and stuff, but this is just my opinion. But keep up the good work on the videos though!

I am a history grad that actually works with middle schoolers in behavior intervention. I am going to share your “why to study history” and “how to get good grades” in my google classroom. Yes, it is!! I was a junior this year and took 7 APs. Though I didn’t study for every class everyday, I took time to properly do each assignment and homework. This way, you’ll learn the material really well and have to study less for tests (though you still will need to study obviously). When the exams came closer (let’s say a month or so away), I started reviewing everything we had learned all year. For more rigorous APs, you might want to start this process a bit sooner than later. This method really helps, as I got a 5 on five of my exams and 4s on the other two. Hope this helps and good luck! You’ve got this! Just remember to never overwork yourself and you will succeed.
