How to get a KILLER Metal Guitar Tone | FORTIN NAMELESS SUITE DEMO

After receiving a few questions about how to get my metal guitar tone, I've decided to make this tutorial. In this video I'll guide you step by step and I'll show you how to setup Fortin Nameless Suite (by Neural DSP) so that you can achieve a KILLER sounding guitar tone. I'll also explain you how to use EQ adjustments to make your sound more clear and consequently more powerful. The track used as example is extracted from my cover of Before I Forget by Slipknot and I'm playing my Solar S1.6 ET LTD LIME BURST MATTE.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. At that time of recording I didn't pay much attention to cab/IR and I was going with the standard setup of the plugin, which already sounded great! Now I have an axe fx III and there are infinite possibilities :)

hi....i came acrros this video and went for the vst. sound good but something happens when i record this. i can hear the dry signal with the nameless at the same time after recording. this doesnt happen when using another vst dist. something u know about? thanks

Never had this issue, so I wouldn't know how to help. However, this sounds strange because if you setup your track correctly you should not have this problem. You should have one track with the direct input, then adding the vst as "FX" on the track you should not be able to hear the direct input anymore. Maybe you are automatically recording on 2 tracks (one direct input and one with "FX") so once you playback you hear both.

@@Pedrhard thank budy. well the thing is that when i use another vst that problem doesnt occures it started when i use the nameless vst.

is Helix Native polycapo a good pitch shifter..? should i use it

Didn't know it, but I watched a demo and sounds great! Anything that gets the job done is fine. You can also try "ReaPitch" it's a free plugin that comes with reaper daw.
