Sorry for the late reply) At the time of the video I was using a plugin (TH3 overloud) which had a pitch shift effect, so I was adding this as fx to my signal chain in Reaper. Now I have an Axe fx III, so I would just use it)

I'm glad you liked it! At the time of the video I was using D'addario NYXL 11-49 in drop d tuning (with a digital pitch shifter to get to drop b, which is the tuning of the song). But in the past months I've been playing only my 7 strings multiscale (scale length 25.5" treble side, 27" bass side) with 9-42 and it feels way better because of the less string tension. You need to find the right balance, neither too much tension nor floppy light strings. Do you play a 6 strings in standard tuning?
