How to get a perfect score on the SAT grammar questions: tips from a 1600 scorer

I scored a perfect 1600 on the last SAT I took and wanted to get all of my tips for the grammar questions out there for you guys! These questions are not too difficult to improve on, and I cover basically the entire thing in this little 8-minute crash course. :) [NOTE: as of 2024, the paper SAT will no longer be proctored. These grammar tips are based on the old SAT's writing section, but most of them still apply to the DSAT]

I've got my test tomorrow, thank you SO MUCH. You know one of those times when the teachers teach you stuff but then your friend just explains it briefly and easily and you understand just better than the 1 hour looong session. That's exactly how I felt. Anyways thanks again and wish me luck!

I'm just gonna be real with you. If a question says delete the underlined portion as one of the choices, 9/10 times deleting is the best option. I never see them put that choice but it doesn't fit

Took the SAT like 2 hours ago and even though I’m generally pretty good at English, your explanations on commas colons and semicolons were super helpful! Thank you so much! In real life I’m pretty good at English, but the first time I got to this section on the test I was so frustrated because I didn’t know what to prioritize when editing. as an international student it's very hard for me to handle writing and language section just due to the time limit. It takes a lot to concentrate on the sentences (especially when the majority of them is kinda tricky) so I have no idea how to get a high score for it

Parallel structure: Who or what subject is performing the action corresponding to the verb you’re trying to find? Find the subject. Find another verb already attached to the subject. That attached verb should have the same structure as the verb you’re trying to figure out
