Thank you so much for this info!! I went back to school 8 years ago and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts. Before that I was a para in a rural school in Nebraska. I've been very curious about getting a teachers license, but I'm SO hesitant to go back to college. 😬😩 I'm also a single mom and already feel overwhelmed in my current work-life. I'm also currently working to get on Outschool to teach art. I've been accepted, and so now I just need to teach my first class! So nervous and excited! Again... Thank you, thank you for sharing this info!! I'll be looking more into it for my state (Nebraska), and also Arizona, as that is my home state and I'm really wanting to move back there. God bless!

I'm so glad you found this helpful. My advice is to definitely talk to a person. When I researched online, I thought I would have to go back to school for a few years before I could teach. When I talked to a person I found out I could get the teaching job BEFORE going back to school and that the school would reimburse me. Sounds like what you need being a single mom. Schools are adjusting what they require due to the teaching shortage and the internet hasn't caught up with current information. I have more videos coming out about this subject in upcoming weeks. I have a BA degree in recreation therapy from a university but I want to start teaching health & physical education or even Special Education. I’m looking to get my provisional license while teaching this year!

Nice! Since Special Education is so high in Demand, you may be able to get the school to help you get certified. I'm switching to preschool special education this year after teaching middle school. They were willing to pay for a class (books too) for me to take in order to be eligible. I still have three years to get completely certified but I can teach while doing it. Thanks for your comment. If you're not already, I'd appreciate a sub. I'm SO close to 500.

So you want to be a physics teacher? What state do you live in? It's different in every state.

@@muhammadazim7254 I know exactly where that is. I used to live close to there and still have relatives in Ashburn. I would call the Loudoun County HR department. Tell them about your credentials and ask if they would hire you. If you are coming in 2 months then that would be after school already starts. So if you can’t start teaching right away you could always start by subbing. That way you could try out different schools and see which ones you like. Since science is so high in demand, it’s possible that you could find a FT job this year. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

@@muhammadazim7254 Sure. Just start by googling: “Loudoun County Human Resources” and call the number during business hours tomorrow. Tell them your qualifications. If they say you’re not qualified yet, ask them if they are giving provisional licenses. Also, ask what you need to do to get qualified.
