You're literally my travel vlogger crush. I'll think of something I want to research before traveling and then, BAM, you come out with a video for it. Just a quick one, minimum wage is currently $15.25 and will move to $15.75 in April 2017, I hope you are getting paid properly :)

I did a working holiday visa in Australia recently and I was there for a couple months, I was running out of money pretty low quickly and struggled so much to get a job. Thinking of going to NZ next, how did you find getting a job? Do you think it'll be easier then aus?

I applied for visa but not going until 31st August , will it run on from then ? When u get ur visa it doesn’t automatically mean that’s the time ticking away , I’ll have a year from when I arrive their in NZ right ?

HELP : Okay , I have applied for a WHV in New Zealand . I still have to pay the application fee ( question, how long do I have to pay this ? And does that mean my application technically hasn’t gone through ?) now second question , will the NZ Government ask me BEFORE going to NZ for proof of funds via application email? I’m so worried as I have nothing right now , but by June I will have enough ( I leave in August : hopefully) how does this work , ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhg HELP

Both are good! The minimum wage is a bit higher in Australia, so if you're main goal is to save money, that might be a better choice. In general, Australia will be hotter with more beaches, New Zealand is full of outdoors activities. Just depends what you prefer!

I recommend trademe.co.nz to look for housing. Or stay at a hostel, airbnb, or couchsurf at first and figure it out from there. Good luck!

Is it ok to get the working holiday visa and then come to NZ and not actually work at all but just travel around? They probably have no way of knowing and wouldn't even care right?

Adventures Like This I don't think they'd check, but it seems like a bit if a waste. If you only want to travel around, just get a tourists visa, I think they're good for a few months. if you wanted to stay in nz for a year, you'd probably be finding somewhere to 'settle down', and would perhaps need a job to pay for accommodation long term anyway. Also depending on where you're from there's only a limited number of visas given out - if you don't want to work they're are people who would love that opportunity

Thanks for replying pj!! We just asked out of curiosity :) The situation we had in mind was if someone wanted to come to NZ for longer than a tourist visa would allow (like for a year) but work remotely from their computer for a job they already have, for example.

You can get residency 3 ways I think. By being “settled” meaning you’ve been living there 3+ year on visa, or through your work in 2 ways- being skilled or scarce. Either way if you do it through work you would need to be sponsored by your work.

Wow age discrimination didn’t now they was that warped on age were older have more experience in work ,relationships, maturity why would you not want to capitalize that stupid
