I hope these tips help you guys get an A in anatomy and physiology! YOU CAN DO IT! If you have any requests let me know in the comments! thank you guys :)
1) Get a calendar: do NOT write down due dates, write when you are going to do them (ideally before the due date :D) 2) Ask plenty of questions (when appropriate) 3) It's okay to not get all A's, focus on passing... 4) You can totally work during school, it's all time management. Procrastination is a product of too much free time. 5) Nursing school isn't a test of intelligence, it's a test of will.
Actually read the chapters, take outline notes, pay attention to the summaries and study questions, and use quizlet. Repetition is important. I also watch RU-vid videos to cement ideas that I’m still trying to grasp.
I just finished A&P II with an A. Easily my favorite class ever. Just put in the time guys, it's worth it for your career and if you're in the right field you'll probably really enjoy the content Edit: I finished my first semester of nursing school and pathophysiology this spring and it was amazing! Hard work does pay off guys. Just study every day like it's your job but take time to enjoy life a few times a week.
@@mariaduque4974 frankly, I just studied a lot. And I never missed class once. I took notes in lecture, watched crash course videos, read the textbook when something didn't make sense, and studied days ahead of time instead of the night before an exam. Lab practicals are pretty challenging but A&P II practicals are easier than A&P I.
hi guys, the best success that I have ever had was with the Anatomy Blueprint Pro (just google it) without a doubt the most helpful info that I have ever tried.
You always remind me that just because I failed my first exam in a class does not mean the end of the world or it will determine my final grade for the class, I really appreciate that! Thank you! 💖
Stumbled on this video while looking for other vids to help my students. I promise we A&P instructors aren't out to get you (whoever watches and reads this). It's just a complex class in a short amount of time (especially summer). Find videos to watch, make your own ppts, teach it to someone else (your dog even). There are apps and podcasts....come at each topic from a variety of angles. And PLEASE ask us questions! We can't know that you don't know unless you ask us!
This video actually made me feel like I can still pass my A&P lab class. I get very discouraged after not doing well on quizzes or test and I put things into my head that I shouldn’t be thinking. I finish both classes the first week of December 🎊 I have to keep telling myself “I got this”
vanessa Aguado If you is interested in human anatomy the greatest results that I have ever had was by using the Anatomy Blueprint Pro (i found it on google) without a doubt the most incredible course that I've tried.
I took my prerequisites for nursing and was required to take A&P I and A&P II. You will need to studying for lab and lecture separate! For lab: my professor allowed us to take pics and videos of the models. I would number things on the model and test my self that way. Also, most Saturdays there was open lab. For the first half of the semester I didn’t go but I made it a priority. It really made a difference when taking my lab practicals. Lab is straight memorizations where everything is and the name. For lecture, I recorded her lectures and if I was lost I would re listen to it and take more detailed notes. I emailed my professor with any questions as I couldn’t go to office hours due to having a full time job. I put all definitions on index cards. I used a white board and re wrote things out too! I wouldn’t move on until I had whatever down pat. I spend a lot of hours studying. I never drank coffee before taking A&P. I had the most amazing professor as well. Your professor is an important key. I always checked ratings before registering for a class. I ended up with an “A-“ in A&P I and an “A” in A&P II. And BTW...I DONT recommend taking A&P in 8 weeks!! Don’t do that to your self😩.

I’m an older student, deciding to change careers late in life. Anyway… I am sooooo glad I came across your video! It’s been years since I’ve been in school. And I was lost on how to learn to study again, especially Anatomy and Physiology. Thank you for the great tips!
I can totally relate! I have been a stay at home mom for about 13 years and a busy mom of 4 and I’m already so lost as well on learning how to studying again.

This is so helpful! My freshman year I Withdrew from A & P 1 because I got a 37% on my first exam. I was so overwhelmed! I retook it 2 years later and got a B in the class. I'm in A & P 2 now, my first exam was last week and I got a 76. I felt VERY discouraged because I studied my ass off. But ya gotta keep moving forward, this was a great reminder :)

Yeah I passed Anatomy over the summer last year in a 7 week course with a low B. I took Microbio I got a low A at the end of the class. I am taking Physio 1 I just got back my first test I got a C. I am upset but I did a self reflection I will start studying with your techniques. I did use quizlet I will make more flashcards and read more. I will try that technique in doing a presentation. Thank you for this video. I would like to know more about different studying strategy's. I work on the weekends in the mornings. My class is at night Thank you for helping me out in this video.
Lecture notes helped me a lot in Anatomy, but can't really say the same thing about physiology. I used to study from Costanzo Physiology and Lecturio videos, which made the entire study process much easier. Highly recommend Lecturio for everyone. Don't know if it is going to be helpful for Pre-nursing students though, cause I use it in med school, but I think they also have a course for nursing students.

I took A&P 1 and had to drop it halfway throu because I was not at all prepared of what the class was. I’m talking it in August again and I’m very nervous. I’m glad that I watched this video because it has boosted my confidence.
Great tip I got for lab is to print a picture of the bone or cavity you are attempting to study with pre-set lines. Put the paper in a clear page protector and right the labels over, and over, and over! It’s helps tremendously!
I'm taking physiology this semester and I was so incredibly lost on how to study but watching your video made me feel more confident, thank you so much! Wishing you the best on your Nursing journey!

Quizzlet made Anatomy so much less stressful (and almost easy). It’s definitely worth putting in the time to turn your notes into quizzlets forsure. Thanks for the tips❤️ currently taking Physio.
I havent gotten adjusted to the amount of work my teacher gives me everyday and i have like a college breakdown every day i study and take practice quizzes but thanks so much for the tips!
I'm am right there with you! I feel like there is so much info being thrown at us that it almost seems impossible to retain it all by the exam date! I honestly dont see how students taking this class along with a few other difficult classes have the time to learn the amount expected for each! I started off slow this semester by only taking A&P2 and an online learning frameworks class and I am so thankful I did!
You are PERFECT for nursing! You have a sweet, charming demeanor and a voice that could calm anyone. I know you will be wonderful or are wonderful at this point since it is now 2020. Thank you for this wonderful video and thank you for being a nurse
Thank you for sharing and being positive about all this. So many videos are negative and talk about how only the smartest people can take this or it’s almost impossible to pass. I appreciate your advice!!!Thank you 🙏🏼
I just came across your channel because I’m going to college next year and I was trying to find different methods of note writing and preparing for lectures and prerequisite nursing classes! Your video really helped a lot!!

I’m super happy I came across your video and channel being that I’m highly discouraged rn with pursuing the nursing route and taking a&p. Your video really motivated me, thanks!
Thanks for this video!! I am currently taking Anatomy and Physiology and I am very nervous. I am a pre-nursing student and I have to have at least a B in order to continue in program. I am aiming for an A. I hope I can achieve it!
Ok so I am so so glad I found you and your video! I just graduated high school and I am currently taking BIO201 (anatomy and physiology 1) as a summer course!! It’s so fast but I know I can do it! I plan on going into nursing too ❤️❤️
MahoGats TFM sure!! It’s not a lot of “understanding” mostly all memorization so my biggest tip is to simply study study study, review everything, my teacher’s tests only included stuff she had written in the PowerPoints and a few handouts, so I didn’t bother studying the textbook at all. Saved me a lot of time!! Find out how your teacher works and it’ll help a lot with knowing what to study ❤️
You’re so beautiful! When I was told that I needed an A to rank in nursing I freaked out, cried and cried bla bla then went back like I got this! 😂❤️ this is hard! Everything you just said is everything I been doing! Glad to know I’m not alone! I feel like school is eating my life alway! 😭😓
Jessica Lara I would adore a B but here is A😢 I’m like do they even know that we’re humans not robots or a computer! I’m probably gonna end up transferring! 😓
I'm doing an 8 week course and this is friggin INSANE! He's legit cramming EVERYTHING in! I'm 2 weeks away from finals and still have an A but he promises us that the final will be brutal so yay...I just need to find a way to study more efficiently and I'm trying just about everything lol
I struggle rn with a C since I totally failed my exam 2 but then I passed my two lab exams with A’s bc I played games and matching on quizlet . I did flashcards as well colorful and read them 2-3 times and then covered them and tried to learn them without reading the processes or labeling ! Helped a lot ! ( as in taking notes my professor gave us life examples so just google the term you can get into your head and there is gonna be an example on google to simply it for those that don’t stick like honey in your brianlol)

hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about anatomy physiology online course try Pycanta Quick Anatomy Protocol (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.
I’m in that period which is before the classes starts , you expanded my thoughts on how I’m gonna be preparing throughout this first ever semester ❤️. Thank you for these unprecedented tips. I’m so grateful to you for sharing these must- hear advice ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Gigantic love
I am a medical student 💔💀and I have just finished my first year. In holiday time I tried to remember what I have learned about the anatomy of upper and lower limb but !! I couldn’t remember, though I have an A in it. Great tips by the way 🧡.

These are great tips! In addition, check out a variety of different sources for A&P info--every teacher has a different teaching style, and all students learn differently. Remember your grade is accumulative over time! You CAN make the A. :-) Thanks, Madi.
hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to learn about how to study human anatomy and physiology try Letza Simple Anatomy Lessons ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.
do you recomend recording the lecture as well? I'm used to recording lectures and taking notes along with it! Then that very same day after recording the lecture I go home and listen to the recording and add to my notes everything important that the professor states in the lecture
So at my school we have a&p combined in a 16 week course with lab. I have it twice a week with 2 hour lecture and an hour and a half of lab straight after. It’s so much when I’ve been out of school for 5 years!
Do not worry at all! Its so hard to know what to expect on the first exam! I hope my tips help you and good luck on your exams in the future :) thank you so much for watching!
I'm about to start college and I have to take a&p and I'm super stressed about it because I'm going to be on a gpa dependent scholarship. This helped a lot
Thank you Madi for your ❤. Encouaging you to succeed in any Nursing specialisation you would like to enter and you have encouraged me to keep reading and testing myself to to always have an A in anatomy and physiology.
Thank you so much for this!!! I am currently a pre-nursing student and I am starting anatomy next week... I'm so nervous but this was super helpful!! thank you!

I’m taking an anatomy and physiology class at NYU as a sophomore in high school and I’m so excited but scared I’m not going to memorize the material and that I’ll fail my tests
Thanks for the tips! Would you mind sharing one of your Quizlets so we can see what kinds of flashcards you made? I understand if you don't want to, though
At first glance the study of human anatomy seems to bo complex and overwhelming. It is tru?e that it is complex and your studies will not change that. As for being overwhelming, this can be solved if you take your study one step at a time. I found an article on Sebs Study Crammer extremely helpful for this.

Can you please do a video on how to take notes for anatomy and physiology. I am currently taking anatomy and physiology 1 online for the summer. Could really use some pointers.
hello maam thank you for sharing about anatomy...👍✌️😁😀...i think maam you need to make playlist your videos..to make your video organized...it will lose your some videos...as time goes by....
i love you girl but lets be real if you get an A in a&p then you got an A on every exam..unless the professor dropped an exam grade. it takes alot of studying and took me hours to rewriting notes to memorize the material to get an A. also i have come across a few nursing schools that wont accept retaken prereqs lol its getting insane out there stay strong guys
a w I did get an A in every exam and I worked hard for that and put a lot of time and effort into making that happen. Congrats on getting an A as well. It is a lot of work but it is possible
