Republic of Türkiye has decided to use the term "Türkiye" instead of "Turkey" at the end of 2021. And the United Nations have taken the decision into effect on May 2022. So, Türkiye is the official name of our country.

Would you call Spain "Paradise", if it were its official language? Btw, how should we then pronounce "Türkiye" in English? I could do it in Turkish, as your channel has also helped me with it :D, but isn't it a bit unnecessary, because, at the end, our aim is to communicate.

@@erdibilir9090 It's a phonetic adaptation. I understand your point, but it shouldn't bother you. You can laugh with it. I am against the Anglo-Saxon nations, which have only caused harm to the world, but I think that this toponimy correction is an actual phenomenon that doesn't have any sense, regardless of the language.
