The stewy-chicken mixture looked DIVINE! Couldn’t invest all the time to make the dough, so I buttered and toasted a long hogie bread loaf, layered the chicken mix inside, added a few slices of cheese and tomatoes . 1/2 tsp of annatto powder and 3/4 tsp of turmeric powder give you the color that you are looking for, without compromising the flavor of the crust. Trust me.
Thank God, a JBP recipe that uses butter instead of beef suet. Any fat that is hard as that at room temperature can't be healthy. I'm just imagining the beef suet clogging my arteries.
Glad I subbed earlier today, I might have missed this video. Plan on making Patties and Cocobread this weekend following your recipes. I agree, dried thyme is a scam. You do need a brown paper bag when eating patties and you must risk 2nd degree burns when eating them too🤣

People don’t know the work or science behind making patties correctly… I wish you could come help me build my company Junior’s Patties….not sure if you’re in foreign or not… I use a mold currently to cut but I love your cut….do you use European butter or regular butter ? I use a combo of both suet, butter and lard and each thing does something different for the crust
Yup, hate the waste...I do chill and use them but I don't laminate them...that's a crazy amount of extra fat. They will never be as flaky but you get pretty decent results if you don't work it too much.
