Let's talk about followers on Medium. They're weird. Important, yes, but not as important as other factors when it comes to long-term success on Medium. But good followers can make all the difference in earning money.
A good follower is one who cares about your work, who enjoys reading your stories and coming back to you again and again. Those are the ones that Medium financially rewards you for - when Medium members read your work, you get paid. It's that simple.
How do you get these followers? There are 3 good ways and one easy way.
If you want the easy way, I can just tell you now: do follow-unfollow. You'll get followers, but in my opinion, they're not as high-quality because they're not following you organically. Many times, they follow you only because they got the notification rather than because they like what you write.
