Hi Guys - RU-vid keeps deleting comments on my videos - I have no idea why - If I have not responded to your comments then this could be the reason. I read every comment and try to respond to all of them so seeing my comments and viewers' comments being deleted is very frustrating - do support the channel by liking and subscribing to fight the censorship.

I am going to be coming into ireland from the US, can you purchase a LEAP card from the airport?
@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman Год назад
I believe you can but the best thing to do is simply download the app before you get to Ireland. That way you have the Leap card on your phone. The leap card information can be found here. about.leapcard.ie/leap-top-up-app

Incorrect on what was said about arriving into T2, it depends on what airline you fly with as opposed to where you’re flying from when it comes to flying into Dublin, for example the American carriers and Aer Lingus and Emirates operate out of T2 whereas Ryanair and many other airlines operate out of T1
@evanomairtin1279

You also didnt cover the main public transport routes that operate from Swords / Airport into City Centre by Bus Átha Cliath route 41 and 16, the state-run bus services

@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman 2 месяца назад
@martinmcguinness9914 Yes, Dublin buses do accept contactless payments. As of 2024, you can pay for your bus fare in Dublin with a contactless payment card, Leap Card, or cash. Contactless payments can be made using bank cards, smartphones, smartwatches, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This new system has been implemented to make it easier and more convenient for passengers to use public transport.

What options are there for wheelchair bound travellers? I am very independent and am good on getting onto one of the Dublin buses, ie the ones with a ramp. I cannot use a coach because of steps. Please can you gove more information for disabled people to get yo and from the airport? This is a good start, and thanks for the information.
@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman Месяц назад
Wheelchair users traveling from Dublin Airport to the city center have several accessible public transport options: 1. **Aircoach**: This is a popular choice, offering wheelchair-accessible buses that can accommodate one wheelchair user per bus. It is recommended to contact Aircoach 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. The Aircoach Route 700, which runs between Dublin Airport and the city center, is particularly useful and operates frequently [oai_citation:1,Wheelchair Accessibility on Dublin Public Transport - Dublin Public Transport - Maps, Timetables and Information](www.dublinpublictransport.ie/stepfree-access-wheelchair-accessibility/) [oai_citation:2,Ireland Wheelchair Accessible Public Transportation](wheelchairtraveling.com/ireland-wheelchair-accessible-public-transportation-travel-tips/) [oai_citation:3,Bus to and from Dublin Airport | Dublin City Centre and Suburbs](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus/dublin-buses). 2. **Dublin Bus**: Routes 16 and 41 are both low-floor, wheelchair-accessible buses that run from Dublin Airport to various parts of the city. Route 16 operates from early morning until late evening, while Route 41 runs 24/7. These buses are equipped with ramps to assist wheelchair users in boarding [oai_citation:4,Wheelchair Accessibility on Dublin Public Transport - Dublin Public Transport - Maps, Timetables and Information](www.dublinpublictransport.ie/stepfree-access-wheelchair-accessibility/) [oai_citation:5,Bus to and from Dublin Airport | Dublin City Centre and Suburbs](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus/dublin-buses). 3. **Go-Ahead Ireland**: This company also operates wheelchair-accessible buses on several routes within the Greater Dublin area. Passengers can contact Go-Ahead Ireland for more specific information about accessibility and assistance [oai_citation:6,Wheelchair Accessibility on Dublin Public Transport - Dublin Public Transport - Maps, Timetables and Information](www.dublinpublictransport.ie/stepfree-access-wheelchair-accessibility/) [oai_citation:7,Ireland Wheelchair Accessible Public Transportation](wheelchairtraveling.com/ireland-wheelchair-accessible-public-transportation-travel-tips/). 4. **Dublin Express**: This service provides direct routes from Dublin Airport to several key locations in the city center, including stops near major attractions and transport hubs. Their buses are equipped with wheelchair-accessible features, and they recommend pre-booking tickets to ensure a smooth journey [oai_citation:8,Bus to and from Dublin Airport | Dublin City Centre and Suburbs](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus/dublin-buses). These services provide reliable and accessible transportation options for wheelchair users, making travel from Dublin Airport to the city center convenient and manageable. For further details and to ensure assistance, it is advisable to contact the transport providers in advance.

@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman 2 месяца назад
Yes, there are several bus services operating from Dublin Airport after midnight: 1. **Dublin Bus**: - **Route 41** operates 24/7, making it a reliable option for late-night travel to and from the airport. It travels between Dublin Airport and the city center, with stops along the way, including Swords and Drumcondra [oai_citation:1, Bus to and from Dublin Airport | Dublin City Centre and Suburbs ](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus/dublin-buses) [oai_citation:2, Coach and Airport Bus Services To and From Dublin Airport ](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus). 2. **Aircoach**: - Aircoach offers services 24 hours a day, including Route 700, which travels between Dublin Airport and the city center. This service operates every 15 minutes and extends to Leopardstown [oai_citation:3,Aircoach | Dublin Airport Bus | Bus To Dublin Airport | Aircoach.ie](www.aircoach.ie/). 3. **Dublin Express**: - Dublin Express routes 782 and 784 operate between the airport and the city center. Although most services conclude by around 00:35, it’s worth checking for specific timings if you plan to travel close to midnight [oai_citation:4, Bus to and from Dublin Airport | Dublin City Centre and Suburbs ](www.dublinairport.com/to-from-the-airport/by-bus/dublin-buses). These options ensure that passengers arriving at or departing from Dublin Airport have reliable transportation into the city at any hour.

Do the bus stop at each stop, or do we have to request a drop off (pulling a cord, pressing a button)?
@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman 4 месяца назад
The specific stops for an airport bus going to Dublin can vary depending on the service provider. In general, buses from Dublin Airport might stop at several key locations throughout the city. Common stops often include: 1. **O'Connell Street**: This is one of the main thoroughfares in Dublin and a central hub for many bus lines. 2. **Busáras (Central Bus Station)**: This is Dublin's main bus station for both national and city bus services. 3. **Heuston Station**: A major train station in Dublin, serving as a link for those transferring from bus to national rail services. 4. **Connolly Station**: Another important train station that connects various parts of Ireland. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's best to check directly with the bus service provider, such as Dublin Bus, Aircoach, or Airlink, depending on which service you plan to use. Their websites will provide detailed route maps and stop lists.

hi, my layover in Dublin is like 7 hours. do you think there would be enough time to have a quick tour to downtown Dublin? Any recommendations?
@TheWonderingEnglishman
@TheWonderingEnglishman Год назад
Absolutely there would be time. You could get 3-4 hours in Dublin with that kind of layover. Obviously a taxi back and forth would get you there quicker but as you see the bus is also pretty efficient. Take in Trinity College, the streets where Molly Malone can be found and maybe a pub in or near Temple bar. Or an array of museums or just go for a stroll. Would be crazy to stay at the airport all that time :)
