Today I am going to demonstrate how to get hand tracking on the Oculus Meta Quest 2. I will teach you the basics on how to use the menu such as the browser, store and social system. Plus I will be showing you a bunch of VR games you can play with your hands. Titles such as Elixir, Waltz of the Wizard and The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets are all compatible.

And sometimes they break and then you have to wait couple days or sometimes weeks to get replacement and some people say they never got replacement and just had to use the broken hands

That step further in standalone VR is really getting interesting... If there is a real hype, I bet that there will be nice and affordable haptic jackets on the market too, I mean sometime around 2023-2024 Let's hope the devs will have more and more inspiration as well :)

@@nubcake14 yeah I’m worried about that. Finger tracking with inside out tracking will be nigh impossible to perfect because the cameras can’t see your hands when the fingertips are away from the camera

I think normal vr controllers are just a novelty until hand tracking is perfect. Because most of the time the controllers try to mimic hands. What’s better than mimicking hands? Using real hands!

@@skippervr9342 well, not OFFICIALLY, but you can do it. There are mods for emulating steam VR controllers. (Yes works only on PC, but I think vrchat isn't even running on a mobile chip. It's bad optimised lol)

Developing the hands tracking technology for basically using every finger on a virtual keyboard will mean that the Quest of the future will replace most of the PCs and laptops: it will be smaller and powerful, huge multiple virtual screens set-up, pass-through color vision, office and productivity apps, 3D VR designing, wired or wireless streaming to printers. That is going to be awesome.

I'm sure in the future their will be a suit or gloves you can put on(like in ReadyPlayer1). Which will use your hands in-game, and you will be able to feel everything inside the game. Essentially a second universe that feels the same or even better than real life.
