Thank you very much, this was the video I was looking for! Do you mean the personal statement attached to the university application? Also are you studying in London (and at what University if you don't mind)? I'm going to look at the courses available from a few Uni's in London (also! :P what is the difference between a physical and a physio therapist?)

Hey Yudoni, when i say application i mean the whole process and your profile as a candidate :) That's awesome! I studied at Plymouth University which is in the south west of England but i am originally from London too! Its a great place to live although rather expensive!!

Hey hope you're still active on RU-vid to see this comment. I have a degree (2 years in sports therapy and then transferred credits over onto a different course). I have a sound knowledge of working in a rehabilitation clinic from a summer placement I gained, did a placement with a field gun team in the forces and have done back pain, cancer and ulcerated lower limb clinics too. I also did a graduate internship working along with Livewell Southwest teaching 12 week health and wellbeing programmes for people with lower limb ulcers. I finished this in January 2020 and then got poorly with CFS. Would all this experience be enough to get me an interview? I'm looking at applying for plymouth uni either during clearing phase this year or next year!

I've recently finished my A levels (C in Bio, Bs in Art and Literature) and I'm considering applying for a physio degree this year .. Currently organising volunteer work at a hospital and have a second job working as a care assistant (with elderly people) .. What do you think my chances are as I'm worried about my results? I definitely lacked motivation during my sf career regrettably

Hi Masud, I am a dental nurse and finished an access course to higher education. I have arranged one work experience in physio,as I was rejected everywhere. Shall I try and apply with so little experience? I am also a yoga instructor,but due to working and doing the access course, I haven't taught yet. What do you think? Thank you ❤
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 4 года назад
Hi Katerina, awesome. Yes i would say apply but only if you have achieved the necessary grades in your access course - a certain number of credits (check this requirement on the uni admission website for the physio course of where you're applying) Don't worry too much about not practicing Yoga as an instructor. That's good but admission tutors really want to see you've gained clinical experince as that is mostly what the course is about. So your work experience will come in very handy. Try to speak to the physios when you're at your work exp and ask as much questions as you can. If you need anymore help, feel free to msg me.
@katerinastruncova611
@katerinastruncova611 4 года назад
@@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 thank you! ❤🙏 that's a swift reply. I think that many people applying will work as physio assistants etc, so they will have a lot to offer in comparison to my 1 experience. It makes me feel like giving up. I know the competition is high! I have good results in the access course, but my clinical experience is only with patients at the dentist... I wish I did not make a wrong decision, as I wanted to apply for dental hygiene, but that is also competitive and physio is closer to my heart 😊 did you have a lot of experience prior to being accepted?
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 4 года назад
@@katerinastruncova611 haha no worries. Try not to compare yourself to other people, everyone will be coming from different points in life. I think you have alot of clinical experience you could talk about with patients and you are also taking action and being proactive in securing work exp with a physio, so trust me, you will be good, you have enough exp it sounds like. Just sell yourself in the interview and personal statement - that's mainly what will help you. Anyone can have the exp but if they can't express it appropriately at the right time then it doesn't matter. Me personally i volunteered two days at a hospital where i shadowed a physio. And i volunteered for a couple days on a ward (not much at all). If you don't have that much work exp, you could always make it up lol but i wouldn't recommend unless you feel comfortble talking about physio.

@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 3 года назад
Hey Daniella, hmm maybe , if your modules have strong biological elements you may be able to. But only the particular university you want to apply for can fully advise you on their admissions. I know that all unis look for candidates from biology/science backgrounds as the course has lots of content like that. Best bet is to do some research on which unis you’d like to go to and check their requirements. Then contact their admissions dept if you’re unsure still. Hope that helps you

Hey David, I took As levels, then a btec where i got triple distinction but i had to then do a fd degree to make up for my lack of a biology a level which is what all unis look for (atleast a grade B or above, but there is always leniency depending on the profile of the student) Hope that helps dude :)

Hey thanks for the reply one more question, I am studying A-level biology and Double sport. I want to study at Cardiff university if I do not get in based on my profile do you think its work taking a year off to do assistant physiotherapy then reapplying next year or doing a foundation year? Does foundation year have criteria you have to meet at the end of the semester of that uni?
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 5 лет назад
@@davidwillby3305 hey bro! If you dont get it, i think definitley try and do a fd degree in science or some sort of access course. Hey Hinal, thank you for your comment. I would need to ask you a few more questions before i could advise you specifically but in general terms.. First step would be to gain some sort of biological qualification either by doing an a level or access course which would be enough to apply for the course. Then look to get some work exp in a hospital/clinical setting so you get an idea of how the job is in reality.. Once you've done this, you can start applying to unis via UCAS.

Hey Meddahi, from what you've said i think you would have to do a Physiotherapy specific course to gain the professional qualification. Because you have done a degree in a similar field you may be eligible to do a masters course. An intensive 2 year course which covers everything you would on a normal 3/4 year undergrad program. So yes you would have to go back to university. Hope that helps bro
