@@ajaykhapung5770 Hi, to be honest, generally across the interviews I could have been much better prepared! But thankfully I got a place! I would suggest always knowing why you want to be a physiotherapist and why the university you're applying for. Furthermore to be familiar with the NHS values and how you have demonstrated them in your previous experiences. Reflect on what your core values as an individual and this can be related to how they will reflect on your work as a future healthcare professional. Be familiar with EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) and be able to reason the importance of these principles. Understand current challenges of the NHS and how the career as a Physiotherapist is developing. Utilise previous experiences related to Physiotherapy (STAR examples are good for structure). You may be asked questions related to pathophysiology, dependent on the university. Lastly you may be asked scenario questions, I believe they use this to get an idea about your character, assessing how you manage challenging situations. I hope this helps!
@@haadi1098 congrats man! I’ve got my interview (MMI) on the 20th of this month for the MSc. I’m currently working as a physio tech, have you got any advices for me?
Great video, Peter! Thank you for sharing it. I have my physiotherapy interview coming up soon. I'm a personal trainer, do you think it would be appropriate for me to mention my PT knowledge if they ask about my experience? Thank you!"
I'm happy to help! Best of luck for your interview! Absolutley. I think if you have any clinical experience, then that would arguably be more relevant to mention first. However, there are many transferable skills from your time personal training, that would be useful as a physiotherapist e.g. anatomy & physiology, interpersonal skills, exercise prescription etc. Hope that answers your question!
Hey Peter I got my interview for SGUL in 10 days. I've never done a MMI before - what advice will you give me and how can I get in touch for extra support?
I am sorry that I haven't responded to this in time. I recently started work as an MSK physiotherapist so I've been pretty busy with that! When you say MMI, I presume you mean multiple mini interview. Unfortunately because of COVID at the time, none of my interviews have been in that format. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Best of luck with you interview!
Hello I got my interview at mmu in 2 days. The course requires a minimum of two years post qualification experience but I only have 6 months internship experience. Do you think they’ll accept me if i excelled in this interview? Can you also give any other tips?
Hi, apologies that I've missed the opportunity to reply to you before your interview. I hope that it went well! I'm afraid that all the useful tips I know of were mentioned within this video. I think that it's definitely worth applying. Some universities have loose guidelines depending on what other areas you can bring to the table. Let me know if you have any other questions though!
