I am in my Pre-Nursing Studies right now and I must say that A&P is one helluva course! Not to be underestimated. To any pre nursing or high school students out there... Take Nurse Bass to heart! This guy is right when he says to take it seriously! These are your foundations for nursing school!!
You're very welcome. I'm happy to help in that regard because I know how frustrating it can be dealing with Academic Advisors and the runaround we can sometimes get. Good luck to you1
im going to a trade, non transfortable credit, instead of doing 2 years of pre reqs then bos rn program, im going str8 into a program for a year for lpn, then rn .. seems quicker to get in the field and out to the money..
I just became a STNA a few weeks ago(I’m in my senior year in HS), after this year I’ll be off to nursing school. Although I’m taking college credit classes and am doing well in them, I’m terrified I won’t be accepted into the college I want, because of what happened while on the road to my STNA my junior year. I lost many people very close to me my junior year and was a mess. I went to 11 funerals that school year alone and almost failed every class, passing with C’s and D’s. My GPA was a mess and it brought my perfect average of a 4.0 down dramatically. I did great on my ACT’s, with 30+ on every one, but I’m still scared they won’t accept me. Advice? And is it too late to prove myself somehow?
Hey Bass in Cali there is a wait list to get into like every ADN and BSN programs. Do you recommend people to apply for a nursing program like in Nevada for example where it is less competitive?
Hey buddy! I can't comment on this because I've never known of this situation. I wish I could help but I recommend you go speak to some of these advisers at these colleges and get their opinion!
I would suggest looking at every single nursing school in Cali first search up the small towns and see if they have any schools near by. Also you can take the Hesi/TEAS multiple times I think you have to wait 3 months before you each reattempt. So if your GPA is low overall or in your prereqs you can still get in if you have a high TEAS or Hesi score.
Could you guys help me out? I'm in H.S 11th grade wanting to be a rn. I live in manitoba canada, all of my electives are I.T courses, but next year I could still take chem, bio, and maybe physics. Anyways do you think I can get into a nursing school with my current situation and if so I would like to relocate in cali and work there as rn, do you think its possible?
It's at the actual college. For example, the University of Miami. That's the college. The program would be The University of Miami's Nursing Program. It's all the same.
Hey Nurse Bass big fan I was wondering if you could do a video on for profit nursing schools which are easy to get into but super expensive like Keiser they have one month long classes, I heard bad things about them but they are accredited by the board of nursing . I want to become a Nurse but getting into a nursing school is hard so was wondering your opinion on it
I would be a medical doctor but I love nursing too. Docs and RN are like a team so much. I wish I could be a doc like surgeon. I love blood and bodies like cut them and then make them happy because I saved them. XD
