I once explored the Out-Of-Bounds of New Vegas, before I even knew about drb0sch's video. When I heard of it, I immediately went "HOW DID I NOT FIND THAT?" until I realized it was an ARG.
@@HeavyMetalDriver666 alternate reality that isnt realistically possible anymore. Kind of like a Mandela effect. Fantasy can play a large role in this genre. But one main thing it has going for it is the scenarios possible in our future that then doesn't happen is left in a different construct of however one wants to perceive such other possible scenarios. The other possible realistic scenarios that coudlve happen and cause a butterfly effect is still in the genre of ARG. A is alternate R is reality and G is Game. You can take whatever you want from these colliding concepts. Thats why i gave the perspective of a game. Movies can present the same concepts in a less interactive but immersive way. A game is way more immersive than a movie in every way. People can make ARG concepts in real life because of it's constructed basis. Like people make a game up that isnt real and plays it thinking it is and it has influence in a somewhat delusional way. I guess it's not a bad thing but kind of a way to enjoy what we don't have until we can make it more and more realistic.
@@quizyquizer I think I get it. Thanks for the in depth explanation. Honestly I feel bad falling for the latest dr0rbsch thing. I should have known better that something like that would have been discovered when the game came out by console commands. Especially when it gets more and more weird. Funny how at first it's almost believable because they say that this game was rushed. So anything that was out of bounds could have just been unfinished stuff, stuff they left behind and never got rid of. Like it was going to be another area in the game but they dropped it due to the game being rushed.
And so the courier abandoned the Mojave wasteland, leaving the inhabitants to bicker and fight on their own. But while the courier tried to abandon the warring tribes of the Mojave, war still followed them for the rest of their life. Because war, war never changes.
So i know the video talking about drb0sch is likely to be an arg. But im curious what actually lies beyond the map and if your able to find anything or interact and so on. This outside border map may have to be made by a team so its easier to trek from place to place. Not only that im not sure whats possible when it comes to the distance as resources may vary ? Things like this make me interested in whats possible for a old game like this. I mean their is older games that have secrets still hidden by the devs. So this is a legit concern when the map carries on and keeps rendering as im sure the render of the map isnt random like minecraft. So it's somewhat oddly intentional. Lets see what we can make of this and if you have the time and patience for going through with the abyss than do so. Just don't waste your time as life has other things to enjoy you know. But yes find a team if possible or go to a board to at least see if theirs already something done on this matter. Thats one thing people should think of when it comes to potentially already ventured stuff online. So you can start where ever but this is a major consideration. Thank you if you do choose to go down this path. Game on.
there is actually nothing out there - no props, nothing. but it is 4x the size of the playable area. it was my favorite place to play around with commands!! spawning stuff in etc
@@alexis_electronic Still interesting I guess, but not really anything is still certain. I mean stuff can be hidden in plain sight and be missed by a player. So im not sure what to make of it still until the entire area gets shown in 3d for no clip.
I remember the only time I ever managed to get out of bounds was on the 360 version of New Vegas it was an early build and somehow I got flung past the fence for some reason easy Pete was out there in the middle of nowhere he didn't do anything creepy or nothing it was just weird that he was there probably just a leftover asset from the developers
