i watched this video hoping to find tips about how to find affordable land, for example. 😅 The majority of my debt comes from housing, medicine, and food because of inconsistent employment. I don't eat out or buy coffee. i haven't bought clothes in years (except some thrift store sweaters last winter because it was super cold and my current wardrobe didn't cut it). I make my food from scratch and i pretty much only drink water and tea i already own (there's more than enough of that). I don't have any items of value (all of my stuff is purchased second hand and I don't own anything designer. Selling it all would net a couple hundred dollars max). I wash my body and my clothes with cold water. I hang dry my clothes. I'm not in a huge gift-giving habit because my friends generally prefer spending time (and i like to cook with/for them). I'm a member of two different libraries (perks of living on a city border lol). I cut my own hair. I do not own a car (which is fine because i don't go out much). My cell plan is dirt cheap ($200 per year). I don't have any subscriptions. I've never been an impulse shopper. my mother grew up on a farm so she instilled farm-y habits in me, but she did not actually learn any of the farm stuff 🤦‍♂️ or at least, she didn't teach me. We lived in cities/suburbs anyway lol. This year i have been learning about gardening (hence my subscription to this channel) so hopefully that will help. I'm also trying to find a side hustle that's actually manageable for me. Before anyone says it- i listen to RU-vid videos while cooking, cleaning, or getting dressed. I switch between listening to RU-vid and listening to audiobooks from the library. I've recently been thinking i should try my hand as making videos on RU-vid or TikTok for money, but i know that's not a surefire thing and it can take a while to become successful

Discomfort, I was thinking the same thing not an hour ago; I'll get used to it. We're so pampered in this country. I'm a year and a half in going without central heating. I've been doing the rest for over twenty years or more. Adding Bernaise (sp?) was brilliant.

Only using cash is great advice if you're in a safe area. If you get mugged you can cancel a credit card ten minutes later, but given the current policing environment in many towns and cities if you have 200 bucks in your wallet and it gets taken you're probably not going to see it again.

Or we could form a vanguard party and overthrow capitalism.

Thumbs down for retraumtising by showing multiple time these stupid masks. Nobody needs that reminder of hypochondriac politics.
